Biography[]
Kobol came into possession of Beck's Identity Disc when gifted to him by small time thief, Galt. When Beck and Tron came to Purgos, the town that Kobol and his thugs operated in, they came to his pawnshop. Tron questioned Kobol, though Kobol denied being in possession of anyone's Identity Disc and decided to take Beck and Tron to a nearby energy canteen.
As Tron and Beck browsed an alleyway, they stumbled upon a street owned by Kobol and his thugs, who ambushed Tron and Beck before all being defeated by Lux. Kobol later returned when he murdered the one who gave Beck's disc to him, Galt, from behind as he way being interrogated by Lux, Kobol, and Tron. This provoked a light cycle chase through Purgos until Beck had a gitch and crashed into Kobol's light ribbon.
As it turns out, Kobol was secretly working with Lux, who was revealed to be his lover, in an attempt to hand Beck over to General Tesler. On a rooftop, Kobol falsely informed the now amnesiac Beck that he was soon to meet his allies, Lux further cemented this by telling Beck he was in the army of CLU 2. Tron constantly tried to warn Beck that Kobol and Lux were deceiving him, though this annoyed Kobol to the point of almost derezzing Tron before Lux intervened. In response, Kobol harmed Lux due to him feeling insulted by her until Kobol demanded her to keep an eye on Tron while he prepared to give Beck to the soon arriving Recognizer.
As Tron and Beck waited for the recognizer to arrive and retrieve Beck, Tron revealed himself, ensuing a fight between im and Tron. When Tron got the upper hand and was about to kill Kobol, Beck pointed Kobol's staff at him. A confused Beck was hesitant in murdering Tron at the command of Kobol until Tron unmasked himself in front of everyone. Kobol, now deciding to benefit from the knowledge of Tron's survival, swiped at Beck with his Identity DIsc until Tron held him down for a while and threw Beck's disc at him. helping Beck finally remember. Beck kicked Kobol down to the ground, though the soon arriving Recognizer was nearing to the beacon they were all at.
After Beck gained the idea of capturing Kobol due to him knowing Tron's survival, Kobol cuffed himself to Beck, attempting to prevent his escape with Tron. While Kobol laughed, he was killed by Lux as her disc cutted through him, provoking Kobol to scream in agony as he died.
