Kojol and the other Makuta were created by the Great Spirit in about 100, 000 year ago. After he came into being, he immediately became the member of the Brotherhood of Makuta, an organization whose task was to maintain order and law in the Matoran Universe.
Following the aftermath of the Matoran Civil War on Metru Nui, Kojol was assigned by Miserix, the leader of the Brotherhood of supervising the island of Artahka. He kept the island's location as s secret from everyone, even going so far to use the air and sea Rahi to mold them as the guards to protect Artahka from all intruders, even other Makuta as well.
When Makuta Teridax demanded the Convocation to be held on Destral to reveal his plan to overthrowing the Great Spirit, Kojol sided with him. This plan also relied a great deal on Kojol's cooperation as his secrecy made both Bitil and Mutran nervous.
Raid on Artahka
Later when the Brotherhood invaded Artahka to steal the Kanohi Avohkii, Kojol took part in the raid as he led a strike team of Rahkshi, Visorak and Exo-Toa to Artahka's fortress. Despite the deaths of his strike team in the hands of the island's inhabitants, the raid was a success as Kojol allowed Teridax to steal the mask after he defeated Mata Nui.
Following a few days after the raid, Kojol traveled to Xia to request an armor-eating type of virus to be used as the weapon. Then, he hid several viruses beneath the foundry for safe-keeping until they were later discovered by The Shadowed One, the leader of the Dark Hunters. Unbeknownst to Kojol, Artahka has requested the Order of Mata Nui to eliminate those who knew the location of his island. When Kojol was about to leave the island, he was attacked by Tobduk and Mazeka, who destroyed his armor with the virus and arraged for Kojol's Antidermis to escape. However, his Antidermis was destroyed by Mazeka, which resulted his death.
Kojol was a titanic being whose body was fitted with several golden armors and he wore the gold Kraakhan on his face. He also have two pairs of black claws and tail as well as four pairs of black, bat-like wings.
Kojol was known to be a very secretive and selfish individual who never shared his knowledge with the other Makuta, not even the location of the Artakha. His knowledge also made him arrogant and obnoxious.
