~ Narration of The Adventures Of Super Mario Bros. 3 with the introduction of the Koopa Kids. |
The Koopa Kids are the secondary antagonists of The Adventures Of Super Mario Bros. 3 and the Super Mario World cartoon. They are the children of King Koopa, who raised them to be as evil as he is and aid him in his quest to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom and defeat the Mario Bros. They are based on the Koopalings from the video game series.
Descriptions[]
- Bully Koopa is the oldest and meanest of the group. He enjoys taunting his siblings, pulling pranks and beating up the Mario Bros. He is the strongest koopa kid, and can easily knock out foes and smash stuff.
- He is based on Roy Koopa and was voiced by Dan Hennessey.
- Big Mouth Koopa is the second oldest and the most talkative one. He tends to annoy the others with his long-winded speeches and usually requires others to shut him up.
- He is based on Morton Koopa Jr. and was voiced by the late Gordon Masten.
- Kooky Von Koopa is the third oldest and a mad scientist. He loves making dastardly inventions for his father, and often laughs maniacally when his inventions work.
- He is based on Ludwig von Koopa and was voiced by Michael Stark.
- Cheatsy Koopa is the mischievous, devious middle child. He has been spying on the Mario Bros and Princess Toadstool for his father and he loves cheating. He has shown to be willing to betray his own father at one time.
- He is based on Larry Koopa and was voiced by James Rankin.
- Kootie Pie Koopa is the only female and the third youngest one. A spoiled brat, she often brags about her looks and wails so hard that King Koopa gets her whatever she wants. She is often more concerned with making herself beautiful rather than helping her father.
- She is based on Wendy O. Koopa and was voiced by Tabitha St. Germain.
- Hip and Hop Koopa are twins and the youngest of the kids. While their older siblings are in their teens they are bratty, but nice 6-years olds whose finish each other's sentences, enjoy pulling pranks, and neither of them go anywhere without eachother. Hip is the oddball, older twin (by two minutes), he likes watching cartoons, drawing and riding on his beach ball. Hop is the wacky, a little brainy younger twin (by two minutes), he likes watching cartoons with Hip and writing, he's also one that comes with ideas for their pranks.
- They are based on Lemmy and Iggy Koopa and were voiced by Stuart Stone and Tara Strong (at the time known as Tara Charendoff).

Differences from the Koopalings[]
- While they tried to take over the real Earth in one of the episodes, their gaming counterparts never tried to take over the real world and only targeted their dominion towards The Mushroom Kingdom and Dinosaur Land. However, it's likely that the only reason why King Koopa had them do so was to spite the Mario brothers.
- While their video game counterparts tried to kill Mario and Luigi, their cartoon counterparts did not directly try to kill the Mario brothers (although they did put them in danger of dying).
- Their video game counterparts were under the command of Bowser Jr. in the earlier Mario games, whereas their cartoon counterparts were not shown to have any association with Bowser Jr. since there are only cartoons for the first four Super Mario Bros. games, not for all of the games in the Super Mario franchise.
- While their video game counterparts were shown to be enforcers and guards to the Koopa Kingdom under the command of Bowser, their connection with Bowser was not like that in the cartoons. It was more like a powerful father spoiling his bratty children.
