Koran Mori is the main antagonist of the manga/anime series Flame of Recca. He is Tsukino Mori's abusive husband and Kurei's power-hungry adoptive father who seeks a way to gain eternal life as a way to live his life on his luxuries and is the one running the tournaments so he could achieve immortality for a way to fulfill his sadistic desires as well as the one orchestrating most of the characters misery and events of the entire franchise.
Biography[]
Koran and his family come from the present. After Kurei was brought to the present from 1571, Koran and his wife Tsukino Kurei adopted him and raised him as their own. However, unlike Koran, Tsukino was nice as she love Kurei, while Koran wanted to use Tsukino for his powers, so he used his wife as a hostage to turn Tsukino into a killing machine as he even planted a bomb inside her just to turn him into a cold-blooded killer just like him for his own amusement and personal goals for gaining immortality.
Personality[]
Kōran is the one of the most evil characters of the entire series, as he shows no concern for decent values such as love and friendship as sees it as a weakness and desires wealth and money over anything else. To showcase his true selfishness and egotism, His ultimate goal is to obtain ultimate power by becoming immortal so that nobody would be able to stop him and he could continue his depraved endeavers. He was also shown to be abusive to those on his side such as with his son and wife as he planted a bomb in the latter. He also shows a lot of pride in his newfound status and I used this to boast to others about it as well as being an extremely fearless and skilled opponent that would; be able to achieve his own goal of wiping everybody out for his own path of power and fortune that he ultimately desires over anything else precious.
Powers and Abilities[]
Kōran is extremely wealthy and has a lot of connections, being able to have acquired a large number of madōgu for his and Kurei's soldiers. He has been able to have several advanced cloning labs made.
Mori after undergoing metamorphosis into Tendo Jigoku
After fusing with Tendō Jigoku, he gains a wide variety of powers:
- Regeneration and Immortality: His body can regenerate limbs at a high speed and can survive having his head cut off and having a big hole through his stomach.
- Enhanced Strength and Speed: He is extremely strong, surpassing Domon and fast.
- Body Manipulation: He can manipulate his body in unique ways such as growing spike or extending limbs.
- Replication: If a part of him is separated into big enough pieces, they can regenerate into mutated copies of him.
- Energy Blasts: He can fire powerful blasts of energy from his mouth, as can his clones.
- Energy Restoration: Using some of these powers take a lot out of him, he can refill his energy stores by eating people.
- Fire Manipulation: After devouring Renge, he gains the ability to manipulate and be immune to almost any flame
