Hi. This is Thesecret1070. I am an admin of this site. Edit as much as you wish, but one little thing... If you are going to edit a lot, then make yourself a user and login. Other than that, enjoy Villains Wiki!!!
Korn (jap. コルン, Korun) is a Black Organization sniper. In this capacity he's usually partnered with Chianti.
He's voiced by Hiroyuki Kinoshita, who also portrayed Zeus in Fate/Grand Order: Cosmos in the Lostbelt and Richard Langham's direct Japanese speech in Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse.
Korn always wears glasses through which one cannot see his eyes from the outside. He often wears a black cap covering his forehead. He has a longer face and a square chin. His hair is grey.
Korn is very reserved in discussions between BO members. He rarely speaks, preferring to leave things to Chianti. Overall, he is level-headed, neutral, and only shows emotion when thinking about Calvados' death.
He likes to shoot his victims in the head and is impatient when shooting at a person.
History[]
Black Impact! The Moment the Black Organization Reaches Out[]
In an underground car park, several members of the organization discuss the planned assassination attempt on Yasuteru Domon in Haido Park during an interview with Kir. Korn is supposed to take on the role of sniper along with Chianti and kill the politician from a distance.
After the briefing, Korn expresses his disregard for Vermouth.
Shortly thereafter, Korn is stationed atop a tall building near Haido Park, beneath a water reservoir. Before the scheduled time of the assassination, he asks Chianti if he can shoot the target in the head. Chianti doesn't object, but Jodie and Conan's actions prevent the attack without a shot being fired.
The assassination is now to take place on the Toriya Bridge after a change of plan, so that Korn again takes up position on a high building that allows for an optimal field of fire. He is supposed to take out the politician's bodyguards together with Chianti. However, the assassination attempt fails again as the FBI and Conan intervene, capturing Kir in the process.
A little later, the organization gathers on the opposite roof of the Mori detective agency and plans to shoot Kogoro Mori. When Conan and Shuichi Akai intervene and stop the planned assassination, Gin grabs Korn's rifle to see Akai through the scope. The rifle is damaged by a shot from the FBI agent.
Clash of Red and Black[]
In order to free Kir from the clutches of the FBI, the Organization becomes active in the Haido Central Hospital. They force the other party to evacuate them from the hospital. The FBI dispatches three vehicles, but it's unclear which vehicle Kir is in.
At Gin's direction, Korn follows the second of the three vehicles. Sitting on his motorcycle, he uses a thermal imaging camera to report that there are nine people in the minivan he is pursuing, none of whom are wearing a beacon, whom the organization had previously flown to the hospital.
When Shuichi Akai, in his Chevrolet, follows the van that Korn is chasing, he's about to start shooting. He's already busy with his rifle when Gin tells him the change of course. He is told to give up chasing the car and instead join car number three.
The Crisis Beckoned by the Red Omen[]
After Shuichi Akai's death at Raiha Mountain Pass, there are increasing signs that he's alive after all. Since he's said to have been last seen in the Baker department store, the Organization positioned itself there to ambush him.
On site, Korn finds the subway exit and uses his cell phone to tell Vodka that there has been an incident at the department store. He cannot formulate this statement more precisely, but he saw how a special task force and a bomb disposal squad stormed the department store.
In the end, Gin calls off the action and asks Chianti to tell Korn as well.
Traits and skills[]
Korn and Chianti have put a lot of time into tuning their Dodge Viper, a sports car. In addition to their passion for killing people, they love their car as much as Gin and his Porsche 356 A. However, Chianti is the actual owner of the vehicle and Korn is the passenger.
Trivia[]
Korn is one of the few characters who has appeared multiple times in the series and hasn't appeared in the keyhole of a manga volume.
His rifle is an M 24.
The sights of various firearms are referred to as rear sight and grain. The idiom "to target someone/something" means "to target someone/something" and originally comes from the jargon of the hunters. Korn's pseudonym fits a sniper perfectly.
