Koslov is a minor antagonist turned anti-hero in the 2016 Disney animated feature film Zootopia. He is a Polar Bear Thug who serves as the right-hand man of Mr. Big, the most feared crime boss in Tundratown.
Upon being informed by Raymond and Kevin that Nick Wilde and ZPD Officer Judy Hopps have been snooping in Mr. Big's limo during an investigation, Koslov was called in to introduce Mr. Big to the duo, being aware that Nick has bad blood with Mr. Big (due to selling him a very expensive wool rug made from the fur of a skunk's butt).
He appears to be Catholic as he is seen making the sign of the cross, left to right in the Catholic manner when Nick and Judy are about to be iced. Eventually, Koslov soon learned that Judy saved Mr. Big's daughter Fru-Fru from a crushing donut statue, prompting an impressed Mr. Big to spare Nick and Judy in debt.
Koslov would later help Mr. Big, Nick and Judy interrogate Duke Weaselton about his intentions to sell rare flowers called Night Howlers (as they would make any predator go savage), eventually learning about a plot to create a prey-supremacist society in Zootopia (formulated by Dawn Bellwether).
Following the arrest of Bellwether and her cronies for their crimes, Koslov is last seen attending a Gazelle concert with Mr. Big and Fru-Fru, quietly bobbing his head while enjoying the performance with an expressionless face.
- Kosolov was originally going to have a different role in the film, where he'd have a speaking role and even a five year old son named Morris. This was presented in earlier drafts of the film, where predators had to wear taming collars. The taming collar idea was scrapped since it was considered too dark, but it's unknown if Morris still exists.
- Kosolov's name is never mentioned in the movie.
