Biography[]
The Gerudo Assault[]
As part of Ganondorf's plot to take over Hyrule, he had a Molduga swarm sent to Hyrule Castle as a distraction and ordered Ardi to attack from the north with her army. When Ardi objected, Kotake began to insult her but was silenced by Ganondorf. They then watched as Ganondorf questioned Ardi, who reluctantly complied. Shortly afterwards, they stood atop Mount Nabooru with Ganondorf and watched the Molduga swarm approach Hyrule Castle. They then watched with Ganondorf and his Gerudo soldiers as King Rauru used his power of light to kill all the Molduga after receiving a power boost from Queen Sonia and Princess Zelda.
Attempted execution of Ardi[]
After the Hyrulean Army repels Ardi's assault and she flees upon Ganondorf's order, Koume and Kotake ambush her, Sholani, and her remaining soldiers by creating shades with their pungi and ordering them to attack. When Ardi questioned why they would, the witches informed her circumstances have changed. Unbeknownst to the witches however, they were being watched by the korok Calamo and his mysterious Construct companion. Though they were successful in killing most of the soldiers, they were confronted by the construct and korok as they fought Ardi and Sholani. In battle the construct and korok successfully defeated the witches, leading to them fleeing and reporting the resistance to Ganondorf. They begged for Ganondorf's forgiveness, who granted them it before heading off to Hyrule Castle with them to visit King Rauru. During Ganondorf's meeting with King Rauru, They watched as he pledged false allegiance to Hyrule.
Locating forbidden technology[]
After Phantom Ganon infiltrated Mineru's study in the depths beneath Tobio's Hollow and activated the Forbidden Construct before being absorbed by it, Ganondorf ordered Koume and Kotake to locate it. After locating it near the Great Plateau, they reported back to Ganondorf and watched as he resurrected Phantom Ganon before informing him and awaiting orders. He proceeded to order them to do nothing and simply let the Forbidden Construct do its worst.
Attempted assassination of King Rauru[]
As more Shades began appearing throughout Hyrule, Ganondorf personally offered to deal with them and offered a detachment of his strongest warriors lead by Koume and Kotake. Suspicious of Ganondorf and wishing to keep an eye on him, King Rauru followed him to Mount Hylia with Typhan and Quino. There, he was informed by Koume and Kotake that Ganondorf had gone to search for the source of the shades. When the king questioned why they weren't with him despite being his attendants, they claimed to have been ordered by him to escort King Rauru. When the king pointed out that that the path ahead was still overrun with shades and questioned if they were sure Ganondorf was waiting for them ahead, they claimed to be and that more shades must've appeared after he passed through the area. After the king defeated a powerful shade, they commented that his power was astonishing and warned him that more shades layed ahead being fought by the soldier and captain constructs guarding the area. Upon reaching the area, they realized the constructs had been possessed by the shades. After helping fight off the possessed constructs, they informed King Rauru that Ganondorf's just ahead. Upon reaching the area and realizing Ganondorf was nowhere in sight, Rauru realized it was just a ploy to lure him away from Hyrule Castle. It was then that Kotake revealed herself as an assassin and tried to kill Rauru, Typhan, Quino, and their accompanying soldiers with the assistance of some Gerudo soldiers. Rauru however managed to gain the upper hand against the witch, leading to her creating shades with her pungi to assist her. Rauru however was able to ultimately defeat her, her soldiers, and her shades before rushing back to Hyrule Castle with his soldiers. On their way back to the castle, they were ambushed by Koume and her soldiers, who ordered them to kill Rauru while she used her pungi to control a stone talus (Luminous) and several stone pebblits. The king however managed to defeat the witch, talus, soldiers, and pebblits in battle before rushing back to Hyrule Castle. Though they failed to assassinate Rauru, the witches nonetheless realized they had distracted him long enough for Ganondorf to proceed with his plan and flead.
