Kousuke Houji is an antagonist in the manga/anime series Tokyo Ghoul and its sequel Tokyo Ghoul:re. He is a Ghoul Investigator who works for the C.C.G. and was a former partner of Kureo Mado and was a partner to Seidou Takizawa before he (Takizawa) was captured and was turned into a deadly ghoul.
He was voiced Sho Hayami in the Japanese version, Wyn Delano in Tokyo Ghoul and Chris Guerrero in the English version of the anime.
Appearance[]
Houji is tall with short black hair. Just like most of the ghoul investigators, he is normally seen in the C.C.G. suit.
Personality[]
Houji is normally calm in private and in combat as he uses this attitude to get a better advantage of his opponents and think of new ways to take down the more powerful enemies such as his archenemy Tatara who's brother he killed. Despite his ruthless tendencies in battle, he does care about his partners and co-workers such as when his former partner Kureo Mado was killed by Touka. This attitude was also prone to his former partner Takizawa when he was captured by Aogiri Tree until finding out that he was turned into a ghoul and attempted to put him down. This proved to be Houji's biggest mistake as Takizawa kills him and the rest of his squad except for Akira Mado, he was mourned by the other investigators as they saw him as a good man but his views on ghouls turned to be his undoing.
