Krampus is the main antagonist of The Christmas Trials in the 2021 Roblox horror-game, The Mimic.

Appearance

Krampus is a tall, grey beast who resembles a mix of a goat and a human male. Tufts of white cloth cover his waist, and attached to this is more blood-red cloth that covers a large portion of his legs, from the top of his thighs all the way down to his ankles. He has a muscular torso and has tuffs of dark fur on his shoulders. In his left hand is a bundle of sticks, and on his back is a large, dark-red sack. This sack is torn, and dirty, and small hands appear to be coming out from inside the sack. Krampus wears an evil grin across his face and a small beard coming off from his chin. He has black, messy hair and dark green horns ejecting from his head. While his eyes look yellow, they are light green when examined closer.

In Nightmare Mode, he has a similar appearance to his Normal Mode counterpart, except that his head and horns are now a yellowish grey skull instead of his usual head we see in Normal Mode. He also wears a hat like Santa's in Nightmare Mode, unlike Normal Mode. In his updated design, the Santa hat is either gone or no longer visible.

Biography

The Christmas Trials

In an attempt to ruin Christmas, Krampus captures Santa and one of his elves. He then goes and destroys Santa's sled. The player goes to the imprisoned elf and is given three tasks. The first task is to fix the sleigh with a control panel, a rope, and a fire extinguisher. After this, the player is then tasked to find nineteen toys (or twenty-one in Nightmare Mode) around the cabin. Finally, the elf says that the player will have to try and grab the key from Krampus up close so they can free them and Santa. After doing this, the player completes the trials and saves Christmas, along with a badge as an award (plus a lantern if the player completes the Christmas Trials in Nightmare Mode).

Trivia

• Krampus is obviously based on the German legend of the same name.
• Originally, the player had to find fifteen toys to complete the second task. However, this was buffed to nineteen toys.
• Krampus is the first monster to have nothing to do with any Japan-related tradition/folklore as he was originally from Germany.
• He has an extinguishing sight range, meaning he can see you in a very far range (e.g. He can see you in the dining room when he is just exiting the basement)
