Krellion is a minor antagonist from Heroes of Might and Magic III: Armageddon's Blade, Foolhardy Waywardness and the Festival of Life campaign and Heroes Chronicles: the Sword of Frost campaign. He was an ogre wrestler, later a notorious barbarian warlord and loyal warrior of Kilgor.
Biography[]
Heroes III[]
Krellion was originally an ogre wrestler, but he gave up the prizefighter sport because he wanted to lead others into battle, and bloodless combat was no longer a challenge for him. Due to his great reputation, many fans followed him and the ogre was not famous for his intelligence, he proved to be an exceptional leader and especially led his own ogres quite effectively. He gained further fame when he fought on the side of the native barbarians of a small, rocky island against a famous knight, Sir Christian. His ally was a battle mage Gird, and there was also a common enemy, the gnoll Alkin, but the ogre was defeated by the knight. His castle was also captured, later controlled by a battlemage named Oris who was an ally of Christian. Later, however, they fought again because Krellion joined the infamous Regnan pirates, and then the knight spoke to a seer who told him that the ogre had taken his lands, wealth and family from him and wanted revenge. The barbarian was supported by another ogre, a battle mage named Dessa, however, despite his superiority, he was again defeated and believed to be dead as he was nowhere to be seen for some time.
He later appeared during the struggle for the throne at the Festival of Life for the throne of the barbarian kingdom of Krewlod. He fought on the side of the forces of House Debag, and the possible claimant to the throne was Jabarkas, the eldest son of Duke Winston Boragus, but the fight did not go as expected, as the brutal behemoth hunter, Kilgor swept his enemies away. Oris also fought on his side, who took Krellion's castle and it is possible that the ogre wanted to take revenge on her, but this did not happen due to his defeat. After that, Krellion liked king Kilgor and his plans, so he decided to support him and fight for him. He and a goblin warlord, Zubin had to help their king's wife Kija to get an extremely powerful artifact, the Sword of Frost, but the immortal hero Tarnum and the forces of Nighon stood in their way. The barbarian army was not properly prepared, and their opponents were much more experienced and stronger, so both were defeated.
Heroes IV[]
Krellion survived the Reckoning and didn't have a major role after that, although he sometimes missed Kilgor's era and glory.
Personality[]
It is very likely that Krellion was a wild, warlike, glory-seeking, violent individual. He loved battles, fighting against others, conquering, gaining glory and supporting those who had great fame, glory and power. He became a loyal follower of Kilgor and genuinely sympathized with him as king, and after the Reckoning he missed an age that brought death, pain and suffering to many.
