Hi. This is Thesecret1070. I am an admin of this site. Edit as much as you wish, but one little thing... If you are going to edit a lot, then make yourself a user and login. Other than that, enjoy Villains Wiki!!!
Krit was a Klingon male and a minor antagonist in the Star Trek: Enterprise novel Live by the Code.
Krit was the eldest son of Antaak, the Klingon geneticist whose experiments with Augment DNA and accidentally created the more human appearing Quch'Ha Klingons in the process. Krit himself was not affected and retained his cranial ridges and other Klingon features, unlike Antaak. Krit was also a medical doctor and geneticist who learned much of what he knew about genetics from his father. Being warrior caste, Antaak tried to also institute a strong sense of honor in Krit to act in a manner befitting a Klingon warrior.
After his father and millions of other Klingons were turned into Quch'Ha, Krit came to hate other HemQuch Klingons who had consigned the Quch'Ha to their fates of being seen as less than Klingon. He decided to take his hatred out on the man who had ordered the experiments be done in the first place, Chancellor M'Rek. Krit managed to infect M'Rek with a virus that was specifically targeted at M'Rek's genome. This virus caused M'Rek to waste away and eventually die.
Most Klingons despised M'Rek and how much he had weakened the Empire, but accusations that he had been assassinated through dishonorable means roiled the council and kept the process of choosing a successor from moving forward. Doctor Phlox was brought in and quickly realized that M'Rek had not died of natural causes but from an artificially created virus. From the way the virus had been constructed Phlox also recognized that either Antaak or someone trained by him had created the virus. Phlox contacted Antaak, who confirmed it had been the work of someone familiar with his techniques, but that he shared the full extent of his knowledge only with Krit.
Antaak and Phlox took the knowledge of what Krit had done to the High Council, who summoned Krit and placed him under arrest. At first Krit denied killing M'Rek unitl Antaak confronted him. Unwilling to admit that he had killed the Klingon Chancellor in a dishonorable instead of honorable combat, Krit was disowned by Antaak. After being disowned Krit was sentenced to death and was put to death by Fleet Admiral Krell, who then committed ritual suicide to atone for his failure to protect M'Rek.
Phlox apologized to Antaak for getting his son killed, but Antaak felt that Krit had dishonored himself through his acts and had gotten what he deserved.
