Krog was an individual of the Ape-men tribe who serves as the secondary antagonist of "Rage of the Ape-men", the fifth episode of Primal.
His vocal sound effects are provided by Jon Olsen.
Appearance[]
Krog is an Ape-man with a large muscular body, he has grey skin, black fur, and brown eyes. He also wore a necklace constructed from several fang around his neck.
After drinking a sip from the black liquid the shaman offered to him, Krog underwent a massive growth spurt, turning him into a a beast much larger than Fang herself. Krog's body also underwent individual changes, with his canine teeth grow longer and sharper almost like fangs, his skin pigment changes to green, and his eyes turn bloodshot red. He adopted a Triceratops skull as a helmet during his fight with Fang.
Personality[]
Krog is often a stoic and quiet, yet proud, ruthless and battle-hungry with a strong urge to kill. He also seems to be loyal to the Ape Shaman as he goes out of his way to please him, possibly so he doesn't disgrace whatever tribe he represents in the tournament or just to get a good challenge to face him. When he drinks the black liquid, his stone-faced exterior disappears, and is little more than a feral, destructive beast with a strong desire to kill without thought or reason.
Biography[]
Nothing much is known about Krog's origins other than he was a fighter even before Spear and Fang's tragedies. He is first seen arriving in the Ape-man arena alongside other gorilla fighters, commanded by their priest-like leader. The leader then tells the fighters that the winner will take the honor of killing Spear and Fang. The shaman pounds his staff, starting the fight.
Krog easily wins by quickly eradicating the other fighters and chooses a Triceratops skull as his helmet for his coming fight against Fang. The leader then pours a sip of black liquid into Krog's mouth, transforming him into a gigantic monstrous beast, easily dwarfing Fang. In the ensuing fight, Krog mercilessly beats Fang to the brink of death, but is interrupted as Spear jumps on him and punches one of his eyes. Krog throws Spear off, who then runs to the Shaman's podium and drinks the black goo.
After drinking the entire bowl of black goo, Spear transforms into a monstrous creature similar to Krog. Now much larger, stronger and more powerful, Spear proceeds to viciously beat Krog. Eventually, he grabs Krog's arms, rips them from their sockets and savagely beats him to death with his own arms, much to the spectators' horror.
Powers and Abilities[]
Normal form[]
- Strength: Krog's strength was powerful enough to make him the victor of the competition as he was strong enough to fight and kill the even larger relative of his kind.
- Endurance: Krog's body was able to take blows from his ape opponents and is able to survive blows from the last opponent of the largest size.
Mutated form[]
- Enhanced Strength: Drinking the black liquid made Krog powerful enough to generate craters with the smash of his fists to the ground. He could lift a full-grown T. rex like Fang with ease and thrashed her away several times as if she weighed nothing.
- Enhanced Endurance: After his transformation, Krog was able to endure bites from Fang's jaws as she ripped flesh out of Krog's arm and even survived when Spear punched one of his eyes, showing no too much pain. He could initially take a large amount of pain from the mutated Spear until he was killed, proving even the enhanced Krog was no match to survive such brute force.
