“ | Uh, Samukai? How would you like to go back to the Underworld to tell him we succeeded? | „ |
~ Kruncha in "Wrong Place, Wrong Time". |
Kruncha is the Skulkin General of Earth and a supporting antagonist in LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, serving as a major antagonist in the Pilot Episodes, a minor character in Season 1: Rise of the Snakes and a minor antagonist in both Season 2: Legacy of the Green Ninja and Season 4: Tournament of Elements.
He's voiced by Brian Drummond. who also voiced Kruncha, Iron Baron, and Char in the same series, Lord Ras in the sequel series, and Vegeta in the Ocean Dub of Dragon Ball Z.
Personality[]
Kruncha seems more intelligent and serious than his buddy Nuckal, but unlike the Skulkin General of Lightning, Kruncha is more prone to losing his temper easily.
He also has a sense of arrogance to him, as he constantly underestimates the Ninja and is genuinely surprised that they are able to beat him and Nuckal.
However, despite his flaws, Kruncha was willing to swallow his pride and join his former master Lord Garmadon to help give the Ninja time to escape with the four Fangblades from the Serpentine.
Biography[]
Kruncha was once a warrior living on the land of Ninjago, but then perished via unknown circumstances. He ended up in the Underworld, and became a general in Samukai's Skulkin Army. His best friend is Nuckal.
Sometime after Kruncha became a general, Lord Garmadon (eldest son of the First Spinjitzu Master) fell into the Underworld and was confronted by his master Samukai. Defeating the four-armed general in a duel, Kruncha, along with the rest of the Skulkin, were forced to serve Garmadon now.
The four-armed villain sent Kruncha and Nuckal on a mission to capture Nya, who was the daughter of Ray and Maya, two of Garmadon's former allies in the First Serpentine War. Though the two skeletons succeeded in capturing Nya, she was eventually rescued by the Ninja.
Later on, Kruncha (although reluctantly) helped his former master by fighting the Serpentine to give the Ninja some time to escape.

Trivia[]
- Kruncha can be seen as the Skulkin counterpart of Cole, as both wield scythes in battle, both are practical and responsible individuals and are best friends with a joking and comical member of their group (Nuckal and Jay) that they get into frequent quarrels with, and both represent the element of earth.
- Despite being called the Skulkin General of Earth, Kruncha seems to have more connections to fire, as in the TV series, he wields the Sword of Fire and accidentally does Fire Spinjitzu in "The New Masters of Spinjitzu", and his belt is red in the TV series, matching Samukai and Frakjaw who were associated with fire outside of the show.
- In "The Greatest Fear of All", Kruncha is mistakenly called "Frakjaw" by Warden Noble, but doesn't seem to object.
