“ | Earth! I have heard of this planet. It is a copy of my Terra! I will race them, and show them who has better planet! | „ |
~ Krunk |
Krunk is an ape-like creature from the planet Terra who serves as one of Emperor Velo's racing champions in the video game Crash Nitro Kart.
He was voiced by Marshall Teague in Crash Nitro Kart and Andrew Morgado in Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled and Jimmy Reno in Road House.
Biography[]
Crash Nitro Kart[]
After Team Bandicoot or Team Cortex earn all the Trophies found on Terra, Emperor Velo will summon Krunk to his colosseum so they can race for a Key to the next planet. Krunk is unimpressed by his opponents and refuses to race them until Velo mentions that they were from Earth. Seeing Earth as a copy of his own planet, Krunk agrees to the race so he can try and prove his world's superiority.
If Team Bandicoot beats Krunk, he will sadly admit defeat by telling them that they were now free roam Terra as they wished. Crash decides to show Krunk some compassion and gives him his yo-yo as a gift. Krunk thanks Crash and reveals the Terra actually copied Earth. He then attempts to do a trick with the yo-yo only to get tangled up in the string before Velo angrily teleports him out of his sight.
If Team Cortex beats Krunk, he will sadly tell them that Terra is now free for them to explore provided they don't cause trouble. Dr. Neo Cortex tells him that they don't plan to cause any trouble on Terra until they have conquered their own world first. This response seems to anger Krunk, but is unable to do anything before Velo appears and teleports him out of his sight.
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled[]
Krunk returns as a playable character in this game, and can be unlocked by purchasing him at a pit stop using Wumpa Coins. He is a Turn class driver.
Personality[]
Krunk is a proud citizen of the planet Terra who holds a grudge against the inhabitants of Earth, as he claims their environments were copied from the sceneries of his homeworld. He seems quite confident in his driving skills and arrogantly refuses to race anyone he believes to be slow even when ordered by Emperor Velo to do so. However, Krunk is willing to swallow his pride and admit defeat to those he does lose to.
