The Ku Klux Klan (KKK), also known simply as the Klan, are the overarching antagonists of the 2025 period action horror film Sinners.

They are a white supremacist hate group originating in the United States infamous for promoting racism against Blacks, Catholics, Jews, Irish, and immigrants from around the world through violence and intimidation.

Biography

The first Klan was founded in Pulaski, Tennesse, U.S. in 1865 after the American Civil War by six former officers of the Confederate Army.

They would then participate in lynchings, beatings, and arson against Blacks, viewing them as lower beings and would make them their slaves and servants and subject them to picking cotton.

The second Klan would be formed in 1915 in the state of Georgia by William J. Simmons, in which they grew more into numbers and became more structured. In this they also targeted Catholics, Jews, and other immigrants from around the world. One of their Grand Dragons was Hogwood of the Mississippi Delta, who had a nephew named Bert who married a woman named Joan.

When Smoke and Stack bought a juke joint owned by Hogwood, he politely gave them the offer, unbeknownst to them, the next day he was planning to kill all of them. Bert and Joan were originally going to take part in it, but were bitten by Irish vampire Remmick, who would later inform them about the KKK's plan the next morning.

The morning arrives when Hogwood and his men arrive at the juke joint, they try to open the front doors, but both are locked. Smoke ambushes and kills them one by one, though one of them manages to shoot him before he is killed. With Hogwood left wounded on the floor, he begs for mercy to Smoke to be spared, though the former asks for a cigarette and he insults him until Smoke reloads his Tommy gun. He then offers a large amount of money, but Smoke refuses and shoots him with a full magazine, killing him.
