Kudu was one of the major antagonists in Guild Wars 2 during asuran "Personal Story" and later during the "Crucible of Eternity" and "Sorrow's Embrace "dungeons.
He is voiced by Mark Allan Stewart.
Biography[]
Originally, Kudu was one of the apprentices of Snaff, an asuran genius. Snaff's research helped Kudu with major discoveries about Dragon energies, however, Snaff did not approve as it was too dangerous and Kudu was forced to abandon the research. However, after Snaff's death and after Kudu had joined the Inquest, he began again working on it, taking his own apprentices, including Tazza. In 1325 AE, Kudu plagiarized an invention created by the winner of the Snaff Savant competition, intending on permanently flooding the asuran city of Rata Sum. During this time he also tried to capture Zojja, however, his try was not successful. Soon after, he took a part of the Dredge revolution, using it for his own gains. Kudu was successful in rebuilding the Iron Forgeman, an ancient construct, by infusing it with dragon energy. His success did not last long, though, as Zojja, accompanied by Caithe and the Pact Commander, were able to destroy the construct, resulting with Kudu fleeing from the Dredge dungeon. Later, Zojja located Kudu in the Crucible of Eternity, learning about his twisted experiments of infusing captives with dragon energy, trying to create his own dragon minions. Kudu had also been experimenting with the energy on himself, resulting in his inevitable corruption and subsequent death at the hands of the Pact Commander. However, before dying, he had managed to unleash his last creation: a great dragon champion on his own, the Kudu's Monster. The monster was subsequently killed as well. Despite's Kudu's demise, the Inquest did not abandon his research, and thee project continued under the supervision of Overseer Kuda.
Appearance[]
Kudu was an asura with grey skin, dark hair tied in a ponytail and dark blue eyes. He was usually wearing a version of black Inquest uniform with red decorations. After Kudu became corrupted, his skin turned purplish, with purple draconic energy seeping out of his eyes, body and clothes.
