The Kuiper Droids are an antagonistic faction that served the Ra Moon. They resembled Shadow Man and were led by him, but ultimately answered to the Stardroids. The Stardroids and the Kuiper Droids were created to protect the malevolent supercomputer.
Biography[]
While Shadow Man himself made his debut during the events of the 14th issue, the Kuiper Droids made their true debut during a flashback in issue 42. Reflecting on his past, Shadow Remembers the time the Stardroids guided the Ra Moon to safety. Their efforts almost came to naught when the Star Marshals made their way to the scene and attempted to destroy the supercomputer. Quartet managed to kill off many Stardroids he finds but is unable to take Shadow Man's life when his partner, Trio, attacks and destroys Quartet, killing him, which even Shadow Man himself finds to his horror. Trio explains his betrayal as caused by his discovery of the Ra Moon's ancient power. Shadow Man brings the Ra Moon to Earth, where he finally goes into a deep slumber.
