Kurayami is a major antagonist in the 2021 Roblox horror game The Mimic, appearing as the titular antagonist in Chapter 2 of Jealousy's Book. She is the proclaimed "mother" of Chihiro.
Biography[]
Meeting Chihiro[]
Jealous that she did not get to enjoy the company of a mother, Chihiro prays for one, and here Kurayami teleports behind her, she puts her "hand" in Chihiro's and the two walk to the playground. Here they see families running away in fear, Kuraymi puts her hands on Chihiro's shoulders and it is implied she killed the families.

Chapter 2[]
The playground[]
She first appears in the hide and seek game, where Chihiro forces Isamu into a game of hide and seek with her, in return for a way to leave the playground. Whilst Isamu searches for Chihiro, Kurayami will hunt Isamu down, speeding towards him upon seeing him.
After finding Chihiro 3 times and entering the gate, Isamu gets taken to phase II of the playground, where he must collect 6 notes in a stop it slender style game, forced to look away (otherwise he will be killed) when Kurayami appears in front of him, after collecting all the notes he is teleported to the ship.
Chapter 3[]
Kurayami is seen at the end of Jealousy's Chapter 3 along side the Kiiroibara cult, here she helps destroy Tokyo and piggybacks her adoptive daughter Chihiro, who cheerfully waves at Isamu.
Chapter 4[]
Although Jealousy Chapter 4 isn't out yet, it is likely she will appear the beginning due to the end credits card of Jealousy Chapter 3.
Appearance[]
Kurayami is nothing but a black, slender being filled with branch-like spikes. She also has black claws that can decapitate a person with one slash, along with her eyes and mouth having a bright, white glow.
Personality[]
She is shown to be cruel and aggressive, using multiple methods to kill her victims, she is also shown to be very overprotective of Chihiro, even killing the families at the playground due to Chihiro being angered by them.

- The way she looks is somewhat similar to Hyda from Among the Sleep, as well as the note-taking phase being a direct reference to the infamous Slenderman.
- The kanji for the name "Kurayami" (暗闇) means "deep darkness"
- Kurayami is the first and only monster so far to use pictures in a jumpscare.
- She is confirmed to not be Enzukai, but simply a worshipper of it
