Kutsu is a minor antagonist in the 2021 Roblox story horror game The Mimic, serving as a background character in both Jealousy's Book: Chapter II and III, before fully appearing as a supporting antagonist in Chapter IV.
It is a massive leech-like yokai that is a member of the Kiiroibara Cult, a religious organization dedicated to worshipping Enzukai, the Beast of Jealousy. Throughout the game, it mostly lingers in the background, staying near Senzai Uchiumi, before fully participating in the cult's attack on Tokyo.
Appearance[]
Kutsu appears to be a massive grayish-blue monster that loosely resembles a leech or worm. On the spherical part of it's body in the front of the creature, which may act as it's head, multiple mouths are seen throughout; each mouth having sharp teeth and fangs, and a long blue forked tongue. These mouths are large enough to swallow a human being whole. When Isamu manages to kill Kutsu, it began leaking a black sludge-like substance which could've been it's blood or saliva.
Personality[]
So far, Kutsu's full personality is unknown. All that's known is it is a feral beast that seeks to consume Isamu and kill him. It's also working with the Kiiroibara Cult in their operations, though whether it has some form of sapience, or if it's merely the equivalent to a pet for Senzai remains unknown.

Background[]
Currently, Kutsu's past is unknown. The only information on it is that it is a member of the Kiiroibara Cult; it's believed to have been created by Enzukai using a black substance, similar to how he created Kishin and Kurayami. Later on, it would be paired up with Senzai Uchiumi upon the latter joining the cult; though whether he acted as the former's pet or his associate is unclear.

Jealousy: Chapter II[]
Kutsu first appears in the ending of the chapter after Senzai kidnaps his younger brother Isamu, following the latter battling and killing Nagisa. Though it only appears in the background, never having a role beyond being a decoration.
Jealousy's Book: Chapter III[]
Kutsu makes another background appearance in the credits during a shot of all the members of the Kiiroibara Cult are standing together. It can be seen laying behind Senzai and next to Zuboshi.
Jealousy's Book: Chapter IV[]
Kutsu appears when Isamu is trying to escape the Destroyed Mall after retrieving a second piece of the Shiroi Hono lantern. As the latter tries to run down a hallway, Kutsu appears from the left near an adjacent hallway. It, alongside the other members of the cult, continue pursuing Isamu until he escapes by entering an elevator.
Kutsu later makes it's final appearance as a fully-fledged hostile NPC when Isamu enters a temple in order to locate the 4th and 5th lantern fragments. After Senzai appears and starts wandering around the temple grounds to find and kill Isamu, Kutsu will occasionally enter and rush through the grounds trying to consume Isamu. If Isamu were to be swallowed by it's many mouths, he has to complete a QTE sequence in order to escape, otherwise he will be fully consumed and presumably digested. After the former manages to place all four paper seals in the pillars around the corners of the temple grounds, a protective barrier will form and almost immediately, Kutsu will roar in agony before rising out of the ground and dropping dead. When Isamu goes to check it's body, it began leaking a black substance as well as expelling both the fourth and fifth fragments of the lantern.

Trivia[]
- Kutsu's name translates to "agony" in English.
- It is the final member of the Kiiroibara Cult to appear as a hostile NPC, as previously it only appeared as a background character in both Chapter II and III.
- Both Kutsu and Dodomeki are the only monsters in The Mimic to include a QTE sequence in it's gameplay sequence.
