Kyosuke Haga (jap. 羽賀響輔, Haga Kyōsuke) is the secondary antagonist of "The Dissonance of the Stradivarius". He's Choichiro Shitara's nephew and also a member of the Shitara family. He lives with his family in a large apartment, which is also a music house with an annex.

He's voiced by Koichi Yamadera.

Talent

Kyosuke receives many calls every day from people wanting to know the name of certain pieces of music. He's particularly good in this area and, thanks to his perfect hearing, it's easy for him to immediately assign a melody to the corresponding song. His niece Hasuki Shitara therefore often asks him how well she plays the violin. Because of his talent, he's often referred to as a "composer with a perfect pitch".

Kyosuke isn't only a master at recognizing songs, he's also an excellent violinist and gives tips on how to play an instrument better. One of the pieces he plays on his violin in the presence of Conan is by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Kyosuke acquired his talent by attending a German music college.

Nanatsu no Ko

With Kyosuke's help, Conan manages to find out the phone number of Renya Karasuma. Without thinking twice, Kyosuke matches the tone Conan is saying to him to the melody of the nursery rhyme Nanatsu No Ko. Conan deduces that the key sequence #969#6261 is the email address because the key tones resulting from typing each character result in the beginning of the song Nanatsu no Ko.

Past

30 years before the meeting with Kogoro Mori, the Shitaras quarreled and Choichiro's brother, Danjiro, fell down the stairs and was seriously injured. However, the rest of the family decided not to call an ambulance and instead told everyone that Danjiro was the victim of a robbery. From that day on, his wife Chinami took care of him. Eventually both died and Kyosuke, who was just a toddler at the time, came into his mother's family and didn't see the Shitaras again until he was an adult.

On Choichiro's 70th birthday, Genzaburo's wife, Emi, was set to play the Stradivarius, which was to belong to Kyosuke. During a conversation with Kyosuke, Emi couldn't keep the secret about his parents anymore and told him everything. An argument ensued, during which Emi ran out of the room, fell down the stairs and then died. But Kyosuke wanted revenge and finally pursued a plan to kill all members who were responsible for his parents' death at the time.

A year later, it was decided that Choichiro's son, Furuto, should play the Stradivarius on his birthday. After the play, Furuto and Kyosuke happened to meet on a balcony, where Kyosuke killed his cousin, giving the appearance of an accident.

Present

A year later, Kyosuke's niece, Hasuki, meets with Kogoro Mori to discuss the curse of the Stradivarius. Shortly thereafter, Kyosuke sets fire to the outbuilding where his uncle Genzaburo is burning. His next and final victim is Choichiro's wife, Ayane. Using a trick, he manages to let Ayane fall out of her window and die as well. Only Hasuki and the caretaker, Benio Tsumagari, survive as they were not present when the incident happened 30 years ago. After Conan solves the case using Kogoro's voice, Kyosuke attempts suicide by jumping out the window. However, Conan expected this reaction and had firefighters posted under the window with a jumping sheet so that Kyosuke survived the fall. Shortly before his arrest, he gives his father's Stradivarius to his niece as a gift, as she is the only member of the family worth taking care of the Stradivarius.
