| ~ The Nerd describing what the rainbow for LJN describes in a nutshell in the episode "Back to the Future ReRevisited", mainly due to their cartridge artwork deceiving you into believing you're playing an actual OK game. |
LJN Toys Inc., often begrudgingly referred to by the Nerd as the Laughin' Joking Numbnuts, are the main antagonists of the Angry Video Game Nerd web series.
Despite it being a toy company in real life, infamous for their rushed, low-quality games based on licensed properties, LJN in the webseries is often portrayed to be a villainous and greedy organization that purposefully makes low-quality games, due to the fact that the Nerd often reviews games that were published by the company, to the point where a milestone episode of the show is centered around all of their games.
Alongside this, one of the show's villains, Fred Fuchs, is a programmer of the company. Their logo, a rainbow, is often referred to as "The Shit Rainbow" invented by The Nerd.
Biography[]
Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures[]
In the indie game Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures, the company is depicted as a Tron-esque fortress ran by Fred Fuchs that the Nerd must maneuver through in order to free himself and his friends from the game created by them.
Series[]
More than half of the show's episodes have been about games that the company had published. During the episode "Wish List (Part 2)", the Nerd plays Spider-Man and Venom: Absolute Carnage for the SNES, a game that the Nerd speaks highly of. In a moment of sheer irony, the Nerd discovers that this decent game was, in fact, made by LJN. This leaves the Nerd absolutely stunned, followed by an emotional breakdown of him repeating that the game is "not sh*t" in a moment of pure happiness.
