La Dama is one of the main antagonists of the DC comics Blue Bettle series.
She is an immortal sorceress who is also a crime lord and one of the archenemies of the third Blue Jamie Reyes
History[]
Amparo Cardenas was the aunt of one of Jamie's friends Brenda she took care of her after killing her abusive father. She was also La Dama an evil crime lord. As La dama she was nothing but an urban legend americans and mexian cops beliving she was nothing more than a myth. But people that few known wouldn't dare to cross her.Brenda wasn't aware that her aunt was a criminal.
La Dama and Blue Beetle are aware of each other's secret identies and the two would come into conflict with each other multiple times. Eveuntally Brenda would find out that her aunt was a crime lord and caused a rift between the two.
One year later La Dama was collecting Magical artifacts into order to make herself a powerful witch and had her henchmen kidnap a magical baby so she can achive true power. However Blue Beetle manages to foil this plan and La Dama was exposed and arrested by the Peace Maker.
In the New 52 era La Dama is potrayed as an anicent sorceress and time travler who had foguht the legion of super heroes and potrayed for more villainous than her previous incarnations. She would also become an enemy of Blue Beetle and the Justice League. the Prime earth version Lady Styx was one of her previous alias.
The Rebirth era had her love for her niece again but still an evil sorcerers and far less evil than before
Powers and Abilities[]
La Dama was a skilled leader and crime lord. She in her later incarnations as a sorceseres would be able to teleport,shoot out magic beams,healing,mind control,illusionary,and more on top of being immortal and capable of Time Traveling
