Maria del Rocio Mendez also known as La Santera is one of the main antagonists in Ubisoft Open world Shooter: Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands. She is a Preacher of Santa Muerte and a member of the Influence Branch of Santa Blanca Cartel.

Charming, Well-Mannered and Well-educated. she was obsessed with the occult affair at a young age. she thinks of herself as a Comp temporary martyr. Unbale to form emotional attachments or empathy.

She was born and raised in a Catholic Household. La Santera was obsessed with blood and killing in Roman times. In her teenage time, she learned about Santa Muerte and was fascinated with her followers repaying her for good luck or they would be punished. Leading her followers to fear her. She became a preacher and opened her own Santa Muerte Sanctuary. Where she gathered a handful of followers. She caught the eye of El Cardenal and introduced her to El Sueno. Inspired by her devotion to Santa Muerte, assisted her in spreading the words to Bolivia in her way and triggered a holy war.
Operation Kingslayer[]
Before the Ghosts reach Espiritu Santo, she has her team of Sicarios as her Personal bodyguards and an Advisor Esteban Iberra. Running Gold mines in the North and South, and personally kept El Sueno Bible in her main chapel. After her men and Advisor were killed, the gold mines were destroyed and El Sueno bible was stolen. El Sueno decided to publicly execute her for these failures. But the Ghosts rescue her and return her to the safehouse for Interrogation. Hopefully to turn her against El Sueno. But she refused to cooperate. Bowman threatens her prison. She responded that she endured Santa Muerte hell. But Bowman responded with you never seen my hell. After which Nomad escorts her.
