Drop the "I'm gonna kill him!" crap already. That phrase doesn't exist in our world. Because when I or my other team members so much as think those words, our target is already dead, and the job is over!
~ Prosciutto to Pesci on La Squadra's ideals.

After a while, the team grew exhaustion of the repetitive routine and demanded for a territory to control, but this request was denied by The Boss. Around this time, it is possible that La Squadra already had intentions for their betrayal to take over Passione's drug-trafficking by finding out about Boss's true identity.

Two Years Prior to Golden Wind[]

In 1999, about 2 years before the main events of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, Sorbet and Gelato attempted to search about Boss's true identity which has angered him and sent Cioccolata and Secco to kill them. Both were captured and Sorbet was brutally chopped into 36 pieces by Cioccolata. Feared the same thing would happen to himself, Gelato swallowed the gag and suffocated himself to death. Their missings became noticed to the rest of La Squadra. They started a search and Formaggio ended up finding Gelato's corpse in his apartment but Sorbet's corpse is nowhere to be found. A few days later, many packages were sent to their place. In their shock, the packages turned out to be 36 pieces of Sorbet's body. At that moment, La Squadra decided not to continue their betrayal plan because of their comrades' deaths.

Two Months Prior[]

Confronting Narancia in his car while he was on his way to their secret house. After the confrontation and knowing that Trish was with them, Formaggio engaged into a brutal fight with Narancia and the latter was killed by Narancia's Aerosmith. However, Formaggio has already sent his team to their secret location, forcing Bucciarati to move.

The Chase for The Key in Pompeii[]

Illuso was the next to fight Team Bucciarati. He ambushes the gang at Pompeii to find the key that The Boss left behind for Bucciarati's team. Illuso quickly ambushed and took Fugo into the mirror world in front of Giorno and Abbachio. Due to Man in The Mirror's ability, Fugo wasn't able to defend himself against Illuso and was heavily injured. Illuso intended to finish off Fugo but was forced to leave Fugo behind to chase after the one who was running towards the key, which was Abbachio. After a fight, Illuso also defeated Abbachio, however, the key in Abbachio's hand was chopped off and went towards Giorno's location. Having no other choices, Illuso had to leave Abbachio and headed towards Giorno. Though Illuso easily dragged Giorno into the mirror world, he became horrified when he realized Giorno was infected by Purple Haze's virus, which was spreading to him as well. Illuso decided to chop off his infected hand and leave the mirror world in an attempt to escape the infection. Having succeeded in such, however, he was quickly confronted by Fugo's Purple Haze and was brutally murdered by the Stand, giving him an agony, melting death.

The Speeding Train to Florence[]

As Team Bucciarati was about to board a train to Florence, Prosciutto and Pesci were the next to go, encountering Bucciarati just outside the train, unaware that he was picking up Coco Jumbo, the turtle that The Boss has mentioned to be a key ally. Even after Bucciarati rushed towards into the train and mysteriously disappeared, Prosciutto still decided to drag Pesci on the train, having a feel that they would lose Bucciarati's traces forever if they didn't come on the train. After a while, Prosciutto decided to use his Stand, The Grateful Dead in order to force Bucciarati has to come out. Mista was quickly to be the first one to come out but was quickly to drag around by Pesci's Beach Boy. Despite this, Mista easily defeated Pesci because of Pesci's cowardice. However, Prosciutto later touched Mista's hands as an old man, which accelerated Mista's aging, incincapacitatingm quick. Prosciutto then picks up the gunman's revolver before blasting three point-blank bullets straight to Mista's head, thinking that he has finished off Mista for good.

Prosciutto and Pesci continued their search and found Coco Jumbo and the key, which has the rest of the team inside. When Prosciutto was going to send more aging speed into the turtle, Bucciarati and No. 6 quickly ambushed Prosciutto and knocked out Pesci. To protect his team, Bucciarati decided to drag Prosciutto to stop the aging. Pesci, however, quickly woke up and managed to catch Prosciutto with Beach Boy's hook and line. Prosciutto tried to kick Bucciarati off the train but was tricked and let Sticky Fingers get the hand onto Pesci's hook, causing the assassin to fall off. Prosciutto managed to get under the train but was critically injured, as he continued to keep his Stand ability active to assist Pesci.

Motivated by Prosciutto's determination, Pesci becomes determined and decides to finish off Bucciarati as avenge for his aniki. After failing to almost kill Bucciarati, Pesci managed to stop the train. Bucciarati and Pesci quickly engaged in a showdown outside the train, resulting Pesci to lose and getting fatally split into many pieces and drowning in the nearby lake. When the fight was ongoing, Prosciutto used the distraction to call Melone and told him to go to their location, before succumbing to his injuries, and dying.

Baby Face's Rampage[]

18:34, 20 minutes after the train stopped, Melone came to the location and saw Pesci and Prosciutto's corpses. Analyzing the situation, he quickly took a blood sample of Bucciarati on the ground. By using his Stand, Baby Face combined with Bucciarati's blood to create a sub-Stand, Junior. It later swiftly defeated Bucciarati and captured Trish. However, it got into a fight with Giorno and was defeated by Giorno's tricks. Giorno used Gold Experience's ability to change one of Junior's cubes into a snake and let it chase after Melone. Even though Melone managed to come to Florence and still had Bucciarati's blood to make more Juniors, he was killed when the snake bit his tongue, destroying the blood sample.

In a desperate attempt to get away from Ghiaccio, Giorno crashed the car into the river but things got worse. Though Pistols managed to find Ghiaccio's air hole, his weakspot. But by activating Gentle Weeps, he became almost invincible. After finding the computer disc, Ghiaccio decided to finish off them. When he thought he defeated Mista by deflecting a bullet into his head, Giorno quickly came to the rescue and in Ghiaccio's shock, Gold Experience rapidly kicked Ghiaccio until a piece of the pole pierced through his throat, killing him.

The Last One to Stand[]

Risotto Nero, the last one of La Squadra, came to the island of Sardinia after the plane of team Bucciarati crashed nearby three days prior. He later encountered Boss's underling, Vinegar Doppio (later revealed to be his second personality). After confirming his suspicions for Doppio, they engaged in a fight. With Metallica, the ability that even the Boss didn't fully understand, Risotto easily overpowered Doppio and almost killed him. But when Risotto was about to finish off Doppio, Aerosmith shot Risotto from behind and injured him. Before Risotto died, he attempted to drag Boss down to the graves with him by using Metallica to control Aerosmith but with King Crimson's increasing time ability, the bullets merely phase through the Boss as they instead fatally struck Risotto. With Risotto's death, La Squadra Esecuzioni was no more.

Trivia[]

  • Among the members of La Squadra, only Illuso and Ghiaccio do not have a name based off the Italian name of a type of food.
  • Melone is the only member of La Squadra who didn't face Team Bucciarati directly when the group went after them, while Risotto Nero was the only member to not face Team Bucciarati at all.
  • Sorbet and Gelato are the only members that have no confirmation of whether they had Stands or not due their posthumous roles in the story. However, judging by the nature of Passione is full of Stands Users (with the exception of Leaky Eye Luca), it's possible that Sorbet and Gelato do have Stands.
