La Viuda, also known as The Widow or The Widow in Black in English, is the name of an Chilean spirit who still roams the lonely mines and path within Chile, South America.
Description[]
Legend has it that the widow went mad with grief and anger, and following her death, wanders the roads of Chile.
When traveling, lone travelers are warned to be weary of the paths they are traveling as an encounter with the fateful widow can take place. For this reason, many are careful to ensure that the figure of a woman in a black dress that covers her completely does not appear on the road. If it is spotted, then it is important that one does not see the face or body of La Viuda, with being too close to the being almost certainly spelling your end. Once La Viuda reaches them, she will reveal herself as a beautiful woman, and demand that the man have sex with her. If they refuse, she will kill them. Even so, these men are lucky to have an opportunity to survive, unlike many who perish after finding her on lonely roads.
In recent times, it is also said that the widow would also climb into cars that are driven by lonely men, especially if they have some alcohol in their blood.
