“ | If we should encounter the Lady Korra on Hag's Teeth, you may soon be lacking other parts as well. Korra the Cruel, they call her. Her ship is crewed by beautiful young maids who geld every male they capture. | „ |
~ Haldon Halfmaester |
Korra, also known as Lady Korra and Korra the Cruel, is a minor character in the A Song of Ice and Fire novel series. She is an Essosi pirate dwelling in the lands of the Free Cities, mainly across the Rhoyne.
Personality[]
Nothing is really known of Korra's personality, but based one of her nickname, she is cruel in nature, as she and her crew would brutally geld any captured men.
Biography[]
Korra is born in Essos and is a female pirate whose den is found at Dagger Lake, which was formed by a confluence of the rivers Rhoyne and Qhoyne in western Essos, within the regions of the Free Cities. It was also a hiding place for many pirates as Dagger Lake has many islands, where pirates lurk in caves and secret strongholds. Korra is one of those pirates who live on Dagger Lake. Being the captain of her ship the Hag's Teeth, her crew supposedly consists entirely of young and beautiful maids, who, despite their beauty, are known for being barbaric, as they geld any men they capture.
During Jon Connington's company's journey from Andalos to the Rhoyne, Haldon Halfmaester and Ser Rolly Duckfield discuss some of the many pirates and pirate dens dwelling at Dagger Lake that they might encounter, such as Urho the Unwashed and Lady Korra the Cruel. Haldon comments that all the men of the company, such as Hugor Hill, will end up eunuchs if they are captured by Korra's crew. Hugor responds, "If we encounter this Lady Korra, I will just slip into a skirt and say that I am Cersei, the famous bearded beauty of King's Landing."
