Lafarga is an antagonist and later supporting character in Magic Knight Rayearth.
In the original Japanese, Lafarga was voiced by Yukimasa Kishino. In the English dub, he was voiced by Bob Papenbrook.
Biography[]
Lafarga is a renowned swordsman from Cephiro who was charged with guarding Princess Emeraude from the occasional monster. During Zagato's "kidnapping" of the Princess, Lafarga was captured and brainwashed by the High Priest.
After the failures of Alcyone, Ascot, and Caldina to kill the Legendary Magic Knights, Lafarga is sent to kill them by Zagato despite the pleas of Princess Emeraude. After the Knights make their way to the volcanic shrine, Lafarga confronts Hikaru, a fellow swordfighter, and initially overwhelms her with his own swordsmanship until he tries to take her sword, which ends up burning away Zagato's brainwashing spell.
When the Knights return to Cephiro, Lafarga is implied to be in a relationship with Caldina and is also suspicious of Zagato's brother Lantis, who had suddenly returned to Cephiro after spending so much time in Autozam, a nation seeking to invade Cephiro.
