Biography[]
While attending Met U, Lance and his partner Ally created a designer drug they called "Limbo", made from liquid Kryptonite. When injected into a human, the drug showed a person visions of an afterlife, where they could interact with their departed loved ones.
They began to sell it for a large amount of money. After Clark Kent broke up with Lana Lang, she was devastated and wanted to find a place to be comforted by ones who truly loved her: her parents. She had been using the drug regularly, which cost her at least a thousand dollars an injection.
Lana later went to see Lance in the middle of anatomy class and asked for another "treatment" to see her parents. But he demanded even more money and Lana said she would get it. Lana became so addicted to the Limbo drug that she began pawning off her belongings and stealing from Chloe Sullivan to buy more of it. Due to her strange behavior, Clark asked Chloe to investigate her new friends.
Chloe went to the address and found Lance's friend Ally, who was in rough shape and clearly into her near-death experience. Chloe threatened to go to the college authorities, but Ally started bleeding and gasping for breath and said "near-death experience...compound...meteor rock", before coughing up blood then died. Lance was frantically getting rid of the evidence since he heard Ally died and warned Lana that Limbo would eventually kill her permanently if she kept using it, but Lana didn't heed his warnings.
She came for another dosage and he had the remainder of the drug, giving him Lex Luthor's Porsche as payment that she stole. But Lex arrived and he and Lance get into a fight, while Lana grabbed a vial of the drug and ran off. Lex tried to go after her, but Lance stabbed him in the back with a syringe and injects the drug into him. Lex collapsed and Lance flees. Lex had an encounter with his deceased mother Lillian.
Lana broke into the campus infirmary, grabbed a syringe and prepared to inject herself when Lance arrived and tosses her into a cart of glassware. He prepared to inject her to finish her off, but Clark knocked him away. She begged him for another injection and Lance got close enough with the green-meteor rock syringe to inject a weakened Clark. Clark collapsed and Lance was about to use a bone saw on Lana but she grabbed a beaker and smashed it into his face. Lana pushed Lance back and he fell upon the active bone saw which tore into his abdomen killing him.
