Lapinibernatus (AKA Scribbles) is one of the ancestors of the Rabbids and an incredibly intelligent one with a beard. He's a major character in the Rabbids Invasion. While in seasons 1, 2, 3, and the main protagonist of the movie Mission To Mars he's the overarching antagonist in season 4.

History

In the two part finale "Mad Rabbid in Pretzel" Island we find out that Lapini has been stuck on Pretzel Island for the entire season. Nothing in the show explains how or when he got there but it must have been a long while due to his beard turning white. He finds few Rabbids who traveled to the island and saves them from giant venus fly traps. Lapini brings the Rabbids to his new hut where he shows them his new invention. It's revealed to be a washing machine that can make the Rabbids intelligent. He tests it on the bunnies but it doesn't work and makes them dumber.

Just when Lapini is about to give up he see's the flying submarine along with two other Rabbids in space suits. At first he's happy cause he thinks he's found other smart Rabbids but he quickly finds out that it's just Mad Rabbid and Nerdy Rabbid in the suits. This pisses Lapini off as flashbacks reveal how much he hates Mad for ruining his pretzel plant experiments. Lapini turns his washing machine into a mech so he can destroy Mad and Nerdy. Meanwhile on the submarine Secur-X finds out that Lapini used to own the submarine revealing that he's Secur-X's real master. After Nerdy and Mad defeat Lapini Secur-X betrays them and brings Lapini back on the sub leaving the rest of the Rabbids on the island ending the episode on a cliffhanger.

Part 2 starts with Lapini being excited to take control of the submarine again. In his excitement he captures the Rabbids on pretzel island except for Mad Rabbid. He plans to use the sub to turn the Rabbids smart again but Nerdy hears this and thinks his head will turn comicly big so he tries to fight both Secur-X and Lapini. Meanwhile Mad Rabbid starts to pilot Lapini's washing machine and uses it to take down Lapini and stop his plans. Secur-X is able to knock out Nerdy giving Lapini time to focus on defeating Mad. The two Rabbids fight in the sky trying take each other out. Mad accidently does something to the sub making the Rabbids bodies big instead of their minds. The Rabbids crush Lapini but also knock Mad off the washing machine making him fall to the ocean.

Lapini gets up and orders Secur-X to put the big Rabbids back into the machine. Secur-X suggest going to save Mad from drowning but Lapini decides against it. Lapini decides that trying to turn the Rabbids smart is a waste of time and reverses the machine to shrink their brains more to the point of killing them. Secur-X has a change of heart and knocks out Lapini taking over the ship and saves Mad Rabbid. Mad and the big Rabbids celebrate outside the sub but Lapini tries to get away inside the sub. The big Rabbids accidently tilt the sub making Lapini fall into the machine shrinking his intelligents making him just as dumb as a regular Rabbid. The episode ends with Lapini and the other Rabbids dancing on Pretzel Island along with the washing machine living a happy life. This ending would later be retconned in the Netflix movie Mission To Mars as Lapinibernatus is once again smart but is not an antagonist. In fact the movie gives him a little arc having him learn to be friends with the Rabbids and accepting them for who they are.

Personality

Lapini in season 4 is an intelligent Rabbid who despises the Rabbids for being "stupid" as he see's himself as better and superior than them all as he only see's Secur-X as his one true friend. His lonelyness and desperate attempts to get back to his own timeline has made Lapini go insane as he attempts to kill the Rabbids multiple times and even yells at Secur-X sometimes. He uses a translator so he can talk giving him a british accent.

Appearance

Lapinebernatus in is a short Rabbid with a beard however in season 4 his beard has a bit of whiteness on it and he wears a big leaf on his head.
