The Laramie Gang Leader is a supporting antagonist in the 2018 video game Red Dead Redemption II. He is, as the name suggests, the leader of the West Elizabeth-based Laramie Gang.
He was voiced by Mason Hensley.
Biography[]
The Laramie Leader is the leader of the Laramie Gang, a gang of mercenaries based in West Elizabeth who help rich landowners to acquire more land. In 1907 the gang are hired out by Abel Atherton to intimidate ranch owner David Geddes into selling Pronghorn Ranch. The gang leader sends thugs to steal supplies and threaten Geddes.
After ranch hand John Marston beats up two Laramie thugs, the gang leader himself visits the ranch with two of his men. They are seen harassing ranch hand Abe, threatening to start killing people if Geddes doesn't sell. The gang leader fires his gun near Abe's feet and tells him he'll be the first to die. John intervenes and insults the Laramies, calling them vermin, and a fight breaks out. John easily beats the gang leader and pummels him until Abigail Roberts intervenes and tells John to let him go. The gang leader threatens to return and leaves with his men.
A few days later, the Laramies attack the ranch, kill a ranch hand, set the stables on fire and steal the cattle. In retaliation, John and several other ranch hands attack Hanging Dog Ranch, where the Laramies are holed up. After killing all the Laramies, the other ranch hands go to recover the cattle while John looks for the gang leader. The gang leader, hiding in the barn, insults John and attacks him when he comes in, but is overpowered. He then attempts to shoot John with a sawn-off shotgun before John kicks it away. The gang leader briefly mocks John one more time before John kills him with his own shotgun.
