Largo LaGrande is a supporting antagonist in the 1991 video game Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge.

He is a supporter of LeChuck and a goon who resides on Scabb Island who terrorises its locals.

He was voiced by James Arnold Taylor in the 2010 special edition version, who also portrayed Captain Cold in Justice League: The New Frontier, Overload in Teen Titans, Speedwarp in Static Shock, Harry Osborn in The Spectacular Spider-Man, Major Disaster in Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Glorious Godfrey in Young Justice, Blastaar in Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., Molten Man in Ultimate Spider-Man, Yondu Udonta in Guardians of the Galaxy, Boostwing and Crazybolt in Transformers: Robots in Disguise. In video games, he also played Shuyin in Final Fantasy X-2, Prince Charming in the Shrek video games, Mysterio in Spider-Man 2, Iceman in X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse, Minions in Despicable Me: The Game and Magneto in Marvel Heroes.

Personality

Largo has a violent temperament. He frequently threatens people and steals their possessions, including their money. He is shown to be insecure about his thinning hair. He demonstrates some loyalty to LeChuck.

Physical appearance

Largo wears a loose white shirt and green trousers which he wears a belt with. He wears a black toupee which is styled in a ponytail. He has large hands but is quite short.

Biography

Background

Little is known of Largo's background, other than that he had a grandfather named Marco Largo LeGrande. At some point, he joined LeChuck's gang and became a henchman for him.

Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge

After Guybrush arrives on Scabb Island, he encounters Largo LaGrande, who demands Guybrush pay a bridge toll. Guybrush refuses at first, and as such is dangled over the bridge whilst Largo steals Guybrush's newly acquired treasure.

After Guybrush reencounters the Voodoo Lady, she explains Largo bullies many on the island, and describes him as weak. It is revealed Largo seeks to reanimate LeChuck's corpse. To stop this, Guybrush and the Voodoo Lady seek to make a voodoo doll which requires Largo's hair, clothing, bodily fluid and a piece of a dead relative's corpse.

Guybrush finds Largo's room in a hotel which contains his toupee. However, Guybrush must hide behind a dressing screen and trap Largo by dropping a bucket of mud on his head which becomes stuck. Whilst Largo cannot see, Guybrush steals Largo's toupee.

Largo then becomes aggressive to launderette Mad Marty who is cleaning Largo's clothing. Guybrush is then able to steal Largo's clothing. He then collects Largo's spittle after he drinks grog. Guybrush then desecrates Largo's grandfather, Marco Largo's, grave in order to get a bone. This creates a voodoo doll which Guybrush uses to threaten Largo. However, after Guybrush shows Largo LeChuck's still-living beard, Largo steals it and uses it to reanimate LeChuck's corpse.

Largo later appears at LeChuck's fortress, and insults LeChuck not knowing LeChuck can hear him. LeChuck keeps Largo alive for his insubordination as Largo located Guybrush on Scabb Island. LeChuck then tells Largo to bring Guybrush alive to LeChuck. Largo is later seen speaking with LeChuck, who questions if Guybrush has truly found three of the four sections of a map that lead to a treasure (called Big Whoop). Largo grovels to LeChuck for not having told him personally. LeChuck then threatens Largo if he does not find Guybrush before Guybrush finds Big Whoop.

Largo reveals to LeChuck that Guybrush has found the final piece of the map. However, Largo reveals his plan to stop Guybrush where he will kidnap the cartographer on Scabb Island. Wally the cartographer tells Guybrush Largo kidnapped him and is now keeping him prisoner and stole Guybrush's map. LeChuck then ensnares Guybrush in a cage, and tells Largo to torture him.
