The Larry Jr., also known as The Hollow when zombified, is one of the bosses of the game The Binding of Isaac and its remake The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. They are segmented worms.
Biography[]
Larry Jr.[]
Larry Jr. will move quickly around the room in lines while leaving piles of poop. If touched, will make contact damage to the player. Larry Jr. segments can turn into a smaller version of it named a Larry Junior, if the segment that is three or more segments away from the last one is damaged enough. The boss is often spawned in a pair, but can spawn just as one, longer version. A segment can be sometimes replaced by a grub, that will charge at player and spawn maggots when killed.
Larry Jr. also has three variants, a green version that fires slow projectiles but has lower health, a blue version that bigger and has more health, but does not drop poop and is slower, and a "eternal" version which can grow new segments (with it in its head form, the regeneration is faster) and can survive with just its head remaining and spawn Creeps where it moves, although its slower.
The Hollow[]
As The Hollow, the beast flies around the room in a diagonal arc, bumping off walls and dealing damage if in contact. Similar to it when alive, the boss can spawn in pairs or sometimes as one version. Destroying the middle section of it spawns two versions of it rather than destroying the part entirely.
It has four variants, a gold version that drops coins when each section is destroyed but causes Isaac to lose coins if he's hit by it, a black version where each segment spawns a Boom Fly if destroyed, a green version that sometimes shoots projectiles and has each segment spawn Chargers when destroyed, and its eternal variant, with curves its arc to chase Isaac, has its segments randomly summon Attack Flies, Pooters or Fat Flies when destroyed, and when its head only remains, it trades speed for chasing after Isaac and leaving a trail of creep.
