Larry Kline is a forty to fifty year-old man with fair skin, blue eyes, and brown hair with white tones. Kline is mostly seen wearing baby blue dress shirts with a dark blue tie and gray dress pants with black shoes. He sometimes wears a dark dress coat with his outfit whether he's out in public or working in his office.
In "Mall Rats", Larry Kline was in his office as an angry mob stood outside city hall in protest to Starcourt Mall causing several businesses to close down. He meets Police Chief Jim Hopper whom he easily forces him to apprehend the protestors, despite the chief's reluctance.

A few days later, Kline talks on the phone as he notices Hopper entering his office, uninvited.

When Hopper says he knows he's acquainted with the man due to seeing him exit his office, Kline tries to lie to Hopper and deny knowing the man.
When Hopper starts reminding him of all the illegal activities he'd committed in the past, Kline also reminds Hopper of the times he too committed illegal activities.
"We have some real fun stories."
Kline threatening to tell the Hawkins Post of Hopper's past activities (unaware that Tom and Bruce have been
flayed).

When Hopper demands to give him the name of his attacker, Kline refuses to tell him.
Kline pinned down by Hopper who threatens to cut off his finger.
Kline confessing to Hopper that his attacker works for Starcourt Mall who has been buying properties in East Hawkins.
Kline intimidated as he warns Hopper that he doesn't want to mess with the people of Starcourt Mall.
The injured Kline being escorted out of his office by Hopper.
Upon arriving at his mansion, Kline leads Hopper and Joyce to his bedroom.
Kline having given Hopper some documents that he stored in a hidden vault.
(Hopper: "What exactly are we looking at?") "Land deeds, transfers of property."
Kline confessing to Hopper and Joyce that the people of Starcorut don't tell him why they are buying properties in East Hawkins.
Kline being stopped by Hopper from trying to escape.
Two days later, Kline oversees the setup of the Hawkins Fun Fair.

Kline accidentally offending Grigori when he suggests bringing backup while mentioning his previous defeat at Hopper's hands.

"Happy Fourth of July!"-Kline wishing the people of Hawkins a happy Fourth of July.
