Viva la weenie-lution!
~ Him along with the rest of the Weenies escaping Cat Jail

The Leader Weenie is a major antagonist in Dog Man, the first book of Dav Pilkey's book series with the same name, and the overarching antagonist of Dog Man and Cat Kid, both spin-offs to the Captain Underpants franchise.

He was originally Petey the Cat's lunch one day until he was sprayed with Living Spray Petey got from the mail that day.

History[]

Before Dog Man[]

Sometime before the events of Dog Man, he was created by an unnamed chef who worked at Cat Jail.

Dog Man[]

When the Cat Jail Warden gives out mail and dinner to the inmates, Petey uses a can of Living Spray he received in the mail to turn his hot dog into a living one, so he doesn't have to eat it. Petey then asks the hot dog to get the keys to his jail cell, which he does, thinking it means he'll befriend Petey. However, as he helps Petey, he laughs at the idea of the two being friends and escapes from prison. This infuriated the hot dog, so he took the Petey’s Living Spray can and sprayed it on another batch of hotdogs that were (presumably) made by the same chef who made his.

He easily convinces the newly born hot dogs to join him in the revolution. After Petey traps Dog Man, Zuzu, and the other unnamed dogs in a cage that would crush them, the hot dogs arrive and try to show the others that they don't like laughing at them, but no one believes them because they're "cute " they are. Because of this, the hot dog leader uses his Living Spray to transform into a giant gyro statue, named Philly. When the Weenies return, Dog Man throws bones at Philly, hoping it will irritate the hot dogs enough to destroy the cage. The plan works, but the hot dog grabs Dog Man and tells Dog Man that he wishes he had never been born until Dog Man eats the hot dog, causing Petey's Living Spray to fall into the fire. Since Living Spray is non-flammable, it exploded, which exploded Philly as Dog Man and Petey flew to the COPS station and Cat Jail respectively. Then the rest of the dogs that were in the Mutt Masher 3000 ate the rest of the Weenies.

Dog Man: Unleashed[]

The hot dog leader reappears in Dog Man: Unleashed as a cameo character in the opening chapter of the book, along with the evil mayor, Dr. Scum and Robo-Chief.
