“ | Mondo: Water. The very thought of it makes my hinges rust! Sprocket: But swimming looks so fun! If only it was machine sludge instead of water. Mondo: Why, that’s it! Sprocket, you're a genius. We’ll turn all of the Earth’s oil into machine sludge! Not only will we take care of those bothersome humans... Machina: It will establish the perfect environment for our machine army! Mondo: Well... Machina: Leaky Faucet. He is the perfect choice. Besides, he’s all ready to run. Mondo: Well, all right. Klank, go with him and make sure that, by the end of the day, every source of water on that planet is contaminated! |

~ The plan for the revived Leaky Faucet. |
The Leaky Faucet is the donkey and tap-themed monster of the Machine Empire serving Prince Sprocket and later Queen Machina and a supporting antagonist in Power Rangers Zeo. He served as the secondary antagonist of the episode "Invasion Of The Ranger Snatchers", the main antagonist of the episode "Oily To Bed, Oily To Rise" and an overarching antagonist in "Mondo's Last Stand."
He is voiced by Ezra Weisz who voiced Admiral Abominator also in Zeo and later voiced Mouthpiece, Numbor and Lord Litter in Power Rangers Turbo, Fearog as well as the Body Switcher and Lizwizard in Power Rangers In Space, Wisewizard in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, Falkar and Troika in Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, Tentaclaw in Power Rangers Time Force and is the male voice of Mandilok in Power Rangers Wild Force. Outside of Power Rangers, he is best known as Lottamuggs, Cyber-Serpent and the second voice of the Green Cannon Machine in Big Bad Beetleborgs, Mantix in Beetleborgs Metallix, Reptosect and Brain Mite in Master Rider, Silkoid and Duplitronic in VR Troopers, Yylfordt Granz in Bleach and Mao in Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion.
Biography[]
Unlike many other monsters, the Leaky Faucet was originally a lifeless monster suit designed for a monster B-movie dubbed "Invasion Of Blueface" which is based loosely on the Zeo Rangers' fight against the Machine Empire. The Leaky Faucet suit is first seen fighting the movie's main character before being slammed into the Bucket of Bolts suit. Inspired by the movie, Prince Sprocket decides to shoot his own movie but use it to destroy the Zeo Rangers and render the Earth defenceless. Instead of using pre-built monsters of the Machine Empire though, since Sprocket thinks that using any other monsters will make his movie less impressive, he decides to steal the monster suits from the movie set. The Cogs succeed, taking the Leaky Faucet suit along with three others and luring the Zeo Rangers into a massive Cog battle where they are captured by the Video Vulture. Whilst the Rangers are trapped, the suits are animated as sentient monsters for use in the Prince's film.
As part of the opening sequence of Sprocket's movie, the Leaky Faucet ambushes Tommy and Tanya when Sprocket calls them onto the set. He overwhelms them with an explosive rose and water but has to retreat when the other Rangers break in. After the Zeo Rangers escape from Sprocket's movie by saving people from a doomed bus, Sprocket sends all four monsters to confront the Rangers to create a new climax for his movie. They easily overwhelm the heroes; the Leaky Faucet using his powerful water attack to stun them before blasting them down with his allies and then merging with the others to form Bucket of Bolts. However, although the monster is formidable, Bucket of Bolts is swiftly destroyed by the Zeo Megazord and takes the Leaky Faucet down with him.
“ | Sprocket: I really hate those lousy Power Rangers! Look at what they've done this time! Mommy, they've ruined my favourite creation! Machina: There, there my dear. Don't blame yourself. You mustn't take it personally. They have ruined all our creations. |

~ Sprocket and Machina after Punch-A-Bunch destroyed his glove. |
After Prince Sprocket complains about Punch-A-Bunch damaging himself during battle against the Zeo Rangers, Boohoo the Clown is indirectly referenced along with all previous monsters used up to that point when Machina reassures her distraught son that the Rangers have ruined all of their monsters.
Despite the failure of Sprocket's scheme, the Leaky Faucet is later rebuilt as a completely standalone monster with several new powers such as the ability to turn his body into liquid and thus be immune to any form of attack. When Tommy and Rocky spend time with the former's brother David at the beach, King Mondo is disgusted by water since it rusts machines. Sprocket then suggests turning all water on Earth into Cog oil to make Earth a better place for the Machine Empire to live and Mondo agrees so Queen Machina summons the Leaky Faucet and suggests using him. Although Mondo is initially reluctant, his wife is eventually able to convince him so Mondo sends Klank and Orbus to make sure that he succeeds the Leaky Faucet offers himself and Mondo agrees. After several run-ins with the monster though, Tommy is able to freeze the Leaky Faucet solid with antifreeze while he is in his water form with Trey then being able to shatter the monster with his signature Gold Rush attack. Despite this, the Leaky Faucet's body is able to reform and be enlarged by Klank and Orbus only to then be destroyed by the Zeo Ultrazord.
The Leaky Faucet is later recalled along with Punch-A-Bunch, Main Drain, the Drill Master and the Somnibot as monsters that fought the Zeo Rangers and lost. Frustrated with his constant past defeats, and prompted by Queen Machina's comment that they lacked his particular cunning, Mondo decides to destroy the Zeo Rangers himself only to be defeated by the Super Zeo Megazord.
Personality[]
The Leaky Faucet was originally a suave if sadistic robot who took his actions very seriously at all times. After being resurrected though, the Leaky Faucet becomes significantly more comedic and bumbling and usually speaks in a very Southern and hickish way.
