Lee Mayhew is a supporting antagonist in the British soap opera Coronation Street. He is a drug addict and the estranged brother of main protagonist Billy Mayhew.

Biography

Lee Mayhew first came to Weatherfield in 2016 when he reacquainted himself with his estranged brother Billy Mayhew, a local vicar who was surprised to see his sibling due to their past. It quickly emerges that Lee is a drug addict and that he is seeking Billy's help for money in order to get some more, but Billy rejects him before deciding to not tell his boyfriend Todd Grimshaw about this encounter; Billy then extends this secret to Todd's mother Eileen Grimshaw and her villainous fiancé Pat Phelan.

Soon enough, Lee began to hound Billy's several neighbours for money. He first tried to steal from fellow resident Erica Holroyd but was stopped by hardman Gary Windass. It was then Lee stole from Todd's workshop owned by his colleague Tracy Barlow. Later on he targeted Todd's ex-girlfriend Sarah Platt and kidnapped her, but she was rescued by her brother David.

In 2018, Lee resurfaced and attempted to make peace with Sarah. But she was scared of his presence and alerted David, who in turn summoned his friend Josh Tucker for a favour; this involved abducting Lee and warning him to never come near Sarah again. Following the incident, Lee departed the street and was never seen again.
