Anyone can say "FBI!"
~ Strawn's introductory line.

Leelah Strawn, or also known as The Mainframe, is a minor antagonist in Season 10 of the 2005 FOX crime-comedy TV-series Bones.

She was Franklin Holt's girlfriend, until she murdered him. Strawn searched for Christopher Pelant's multi-billion dollar account within Holt's files, where she kept looking for said information after murdering Holt and copying Pelant's techniques of his modus operandi.

She was portrayed by Lindsey Kraft.

Biography[]

She was first introduced as the girlfriend of Franklin Holt, who became the murder victim at the same time when Dr. Temperance Brennan and Seeley Booth decided to leave their original jobs to pursue a better life away from crime. She met Holt because they were fans of the video game series Call of Duty, and learned that Holt worked at Kevin Dunlop Investments. To gain a closer attraction to Holt, she posed as the delivery person for Holt's pizzas in a secret identity, later fatally shooting Holt after he received the pizza delivery unbeknownst to him by Strawn.

Strawn had a fascination for Christopher Pelant, and she mirrored his Baroque tendencies by flaying Holt's corpse, inserting a chiranthodendron flower into his throat, severing his hands, and impaling him to an Egyptian obelisk; a meaning where in ancient Egypt, grave robbers were flayed, impaled, and the hands severed, implying Holt to be one.

Post-Murder[]

Strawn returned to the scene of the crime with a knife, where she searched within Holt's files containing the information of Pelant's multi-billion dollar account. As she searched, the FBI (specifically Booth and James Aubrey) barged inside the house, where Strawn then attacked them before they disarmed her. When Booth disclosed himself and Aubrey as part of the FBI, she stated that anyone can perceive themselves as FBI, while also disclosing information about her and Holt. She acts in shock about Holt's death, disguising as a girlfriend who looked for Holt upon his disappearance.

Unbeknownst to Strawn, Holt had already withheld his files and stored them in the Strange Brew VHS tape, that was hidden in plain sight until Angela took and decrypted it, which then contained the aforementioned account and a death message from Pelant stating his future influence.

Escape[]

She fled out of Holt's house upon knowing her involvement in Holt's murder, taking her computers in the process. Unknown to her, Holt placed a tracking device in her computers that allowed Angela to track her down through a rented car, where she ended up in a major rail yard. Strawn arrived to the location, where she tased a worker and stole his outfit to blend in and hide from Booth and Aubrey.

She later entered an exiting train, and Booth and Aubrey followed her there in time, cornering her. Despite any attempt to escape the train, she fought back by locking Booth out of the railroad car containing chickens, and tased Aubrey multiple times. Booth barged into the car just in time to disarm Strawn of her taser, just before she tased Aubrey out of the car. She is then arrested and incarcerated following the fight for the murder and flaying of Holt.

Victims[]

Franklin Holt Shot to death, then flayed and impaled to an Egyptian obelisk.

Quotes[]

Franklin and me were going out, and I didn't hear from him for a couple of days, so I-I came over.
Look, I d-- I don't know about all this, okay? Franklin and me-- we met online because we both liked Call of Duty. We'd get together at his place, order pizza, play and... hook up.
~ Strawn's disguised relationship with Franklin Holt.
Is that the guy at that investment place? Kevin Dunlop Investments, I think it was called. The I.T. guy there-- Franklin had him fired, so he kept threatening him online. But threats like that, they're usually just noise, right?
~ Strawn about Christopher Pelant.
