| ~ Legeiel to the Golem Megid upon summoning it. |
Legeiel is one of the generals of the Megid and a major antagonist in Kamen Rider Saber.
He is the Megid who summons Phantom Beast Megid. Like his cohorts he seeks to obtain all the Wonder Ride Books so he can use them to remake the world to be a paradise for the Megid.
He would later have himself be transformed into the much stronger Legeiel Forbidden in order to defeat Saber.
He is portrayed by Kyle Takano.
History[]
Past[]
Legeiel with the other four followers of the mysterious woman.
2000 years prior to the present day, Legeiel was part of a group of five travelers alongside Viktor, Storious, Zooous and the man who would become the first Master Logos. The five sought to find the Wonder World in the hopes that its power could be used to give humanity a better life. They eventually found a mysterious woman from the Wonder World with the power to link the worlds and became her followers, becoming the first humans to enter the Wonder World after she enabled them to pass over. There, the five bore witness to the source of the Wonder World's power, the Book of Omniscience.
While Viktor wanted to use the vast array of knowledge stored inside to give humanity a better life, Storious, Legeiel and Zooous became corrupted by its power and sought to use it to enrich themselves. The three soon attempted to steal it and each tore a page from it, embedding the pages into themselves to become the very first Megid. The three were opposed by Viktor and his other companion, who founded the Sword of Logos to safeguard the Book of Omniscience and prevent the Megid or anyone else from abusing its power. The Megid would soon use the pages they had collected to create the Alter Ride Books and use them to build a vast army to fight against the Sword of Logos, triggering the War of the Wonder World. To ensure the Book of Omniscience's power would be less concentrated should it ever fall into anyone's hands, the mysterious woman split it up into dozens of pages, forming the Wonder Ride Books that the swordsmen of the Sword of Logos used to transform into Kamen Riders. The three largest portions of the Book were given to Viktor and Master Logos, with Viktor taking one portion to safeguard himself while the first Master Logos took two to place in Northern and Southern Base. Viktor would also become the Wonder World's new guardian, taking up the name "Tassel".
Calibur's Betrayal[]
Legeiel was one of the Megid present at the incident that occurred 15 years prior to Touma Kamiyama becoming Kamen Rider Saber, when a traitorous Hayato Fukamiya attempted to steal the Book of Ancients from the Sword of Logos only to be defeated by his comrade, Daichi Kamijou. Daichi would then take up the Kurayami blade to become the next Calibur and sided with the Megid.
Connecting the Worlds[]
Legeiel was given the Gansekiou Golem Alter Ride Book by Kamen Rider Calibur and sent out to "make a new world emerge" in the nearby city. Eager to get started, Legeiel headed to a city and summoned the Golem Megid out of the Alter Ride Book. With its powers, Legeiel had it trap a portion of the city in the book it summoned. However, they quickly faced an obstacle in the form of the new Kamen Rider Saber. After a battle between the Megiddo and the Rider, the Golem Megiddo was destroyed by Saber.
Eventually, Zooous and the other Majin put their plan into motion with help from Kamen Rider Calibur. They created giant books at six points in the city that formed a ring and used them to create a portal connecting Earth to the Wonder World, summoning the book that contained the Table of Revelation. While Calibur flew inside the portal to obtain the page, the three Majin assumed their Megid forms to hold off the Kamen Riders of the Sword of Logos. However, they were unable to stop Saber from entering the portal after Calibur.
Ultimately, Saber would thwart Calibur's attempt to obtain the Table of Revelation and Calibur would die after being stabbed through the back by Desast. Zooous was frustrated that all the Megid's work had been undone, but Storious assured him that it was not for nothing as there were now numerous humans who were linked who could be used to create more Megid. Legeiel took advantage of this by transforming a woman into the Yeti Megid.
Forbidden Dragon[]
Furious over his defeats by Touma, Legeiel allowed Storious to upgrade him to a new stronger form - Legeiel Forbidden. With his new powers, Legeiel went on a rampage in order to lure Saber out so he could fight him. As Touma was busy mastering the power of Primitive Dragon, Ryo Ogami went out as Kamen Rider Buster to hold off Legeiel for the time being. As Legeiel fought off Buster, Touma entered the field and became Primitive Dragon to fight him, but was still unable to reign in the forbidden Wonder Book's power. Legeiel exploited the vulnerability to land a killing blow on Saber, only to be blocked by Blades. As Blades held off Legeiel, Touma was able to gain control over Primitive Dragon thanks to Elemental Dragon and use it against Legeiel.
Upon seeing Touma as Elemental Dragon, Legeiel asked how a human could attain such power, to which Touma responded by asking him why he was surprised since he was once a human too. Legeiel thought back to when he first entered the Wonder World with Storious and Zooous, only to furious insist he had always been a Megid and to try and attack Saber again. Seeing that Legeiel could not be reasoned with, Touma defeated Legeiel and destroyed him with Elemental Dragon's finisher.
Return to the Wonder World[]
Legeiel's spirit appeared in the Wonder World alongside Luna and the spirits of Zooous, Tassel, the first Master Logos and Storious. All of them greeted Touma after he became the Wonder World's new guardian.
Personality[]
Like Storious and Zooous, Legeiel appears to have at one point been a good-hearted person committed to bringing about a better standard of living for his fellow man. His good intentions stayed with him when he and the rest of Victor's party entered the Wonder World, but after glimpsing of the Book of All, Legeiel became corrupted by his desire to obtain it and teamed up with Storious and Zooous to steal it for their own selfish purposes, with the three using the pages they tore from it to become the Megid.
As a Megid, Legeiel is very proactive and strategically minded. He has no compunction about entering battles himself and often does so frequently, while at the same time plotting his movements and coming up with plans to defeat the enemy. He acts quite arrogant towards humans, seeing himself and his fellow Megid as a superior species to them in spite of the fact that Legeiel himself was once a human, something he does not like to admit. In terms of his relationship with his fellow Megid leaders, while the three are working towards the same goal they generally remain distant from each other, often exchanging snide remarks whenever one of their plans is thwarted by the Sword of Logos Riders. He is a more skilled planner than Zooous, but less so than Storious and his strategies can sometimes be compounded if he is provoked to fury. While he normally acts composed, his sense of rationality and coolness is often marred by his rage over individual defeats he suffers. After being beaten by Touma as Kamen Rider Saber Primitive Dragon, Legeiel's judgement became more and more clouded by his desire to exact revenge on Touma, eventually leading him to undergo a dangerous and fatal upgrade just to become stronger.
