Biography[]
Terminator: Dark Fate[]
Legion was created by an unknown company at an unknown time for cyber-warfare. At some point after 2020, it became self-aware and, deciding to achieve peace through humanity's extinction, began the equivalent of Judgement Day. On day 1, it engaged on cyber-warfare with humankind by shutting off it's connections to key resources like electricity and the internet. On Day 2, the world governments responded by attempting to use tactically-placed EMP strikes by using nuclear missiles in order to contain Legion, but it survived the attempt. On Day 3, the entire world was at war with Legion. Due to the nature of it's attacks, global food networks were utterly destroyed, causing mass famine and resulting in death all over the world, which led to human survivors fighting each other over limited food and resources.
Over the following years, Legion engaged in a war of attrition with humanity's survivors, before developing and deploying it's own Terminator units to hunt down and kill the survivors. In 2042, Legion was finally destroyed throguh unknown means. Before it happened, however, Legion was able to create time travel technology and sent a Rev-9 to 2020 to kill Dani Ramos, who would be Resistance's leader in the future, and thus was a threat to Legion's existence.
Personality[]
“ | Gabriel comes from something that is not Skynet, but it’s like Skynet. | „ |
~ Tim Miller describing Legion in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. |
Much like the Mainstream, Rise of the Machines and Genisys Timeline versions of Skynet, Legion is an extreme narcissistic megalomaniac. Described as the new replacement for Skynet, Legion was designed to keep peace in any costs, eventually identifying humans as the source for anti-peace, resulting his terrifying rise to power as a mechanical tyrant.
Similar to the alternate timeline version of Skynet from the aforementioned Genisys Timeline, it is an extremely powerful tyrannical ruler, even, to it's machines; it is so much brutal, which it does so by sending them into the fireline of the Resistance's all-out war as a result for their failures, indicating how far intolerant for failure Legion truly is. It's most known feature is that it is mostly powerful than Skynet, doing so by taking over humanity's servers and destroying the resources that are needed to keep civilization intact, such as electricity and the internet. Knowing humanity would act against it, Legion had sent one of it's Rev-9s to 2020, in hopes to terminate Dani Ramos, an action it could not do due to the existence of Carl, Sarah Connor and Grace.
Like it's Terminators and like Skynet's terminators, Legion cannot feel no remorse, guilt or even mercy for it's actions, showing how much psychopathic it is yet despite his truly monstrous and tyrannical nature, Legion believes everything it does is meant for peace in it's own ways.
Powers and Abilities[]
