Leonard "Lenny" Summers is a supporting character in the 2018 action-adventure game Red Dead Redemption II. He is the youngest member of the Van der Linde gang, and is a capable gunman when the gang commits robberies.
He was voiced by Harron Atkins.
Biography[]
Background[]
Lenny recalls that his mother was born when a white overseer raped his grandmother, who he later killed. His father was an educated, literate man who taught Lenny everything he knew until he was murdered by drunks. Lenny killed the drunks in revenge and went on the run, joining up with the Van der Linde gang led by Dutch van der Linde. Lenny would become friends with fellow outlaw Arthur Morgan, and developed a romantic interest in Jenny Kirk, but he would mourn her when she passed away.
Red Dead Redemption II[]
After returning to civilization, Dutch sends Lenny and Micah Bell to scout ahead in West Elizabeth. Micah ends up drunkenly killing a former associate of his and gets arrested, Lenny barely escaping. After Lenny returns and tells the gang the bad news, Dutch sends Arthur Morgan to take Lenny to Valentine and buy him a drink. The two get drunk and cause trouble, leading to Lenny getting arrested. Lenny manages to bail himself (and Arthur) out.
After the gang relocates to Clemens Point, Lenny raids a Lemoyne Raiders compound with Arthur and joins him and a few other members in raiding the Valentine bank. The gang later relocates to the Lemoyne Raider compound when Jack Marston is kidnapped by Angelo Bronte.
After freeing Jack, Dutch, Lenny and Arthur raid a trolley station at Bronte's advice, but discover that it is a setup. Barely escaping, Dutch then leads a raid on Bronte's mansion and drowns him.
The gang then robs the Saint Denis bank, but are ambushed by Pinkerton agents. While escaping across the rooftops, Lenny is shot by the Pinkertons.
