Leon Simmons is the tritagonist in the FX crime drama series Snowfall. A childhood friend of Franklin Saint and Kevin Hamilton, he would serve as Franklin's right-hand man as he entered the cocaine game, and play a reoccurring role throughout the entire series, serving as a deuteragonist in Franklin's storyline.
He was portrayed by Isiah John, who also played TQ in All Day and Night.
Background[]
Leon Simmons was born in 1963, in South Central Los Angeles. From a young age, Leon had to help his mother raise his younger siblings after their father passed away. During his childhood, he would develop a friendship with Franklin Saint and Kevin Hamilton. Out of the three, Leon was the most juvenile as a youth; a troubled kid, he frequently stole from stores and got into fights with other kids. Sometime during his school days, he and Franklin would go to the same school as Drew Miller. Leon's string of incidents would eventually land him in juvenile hall before he turned 18, where he would often fight with Mexican gang members.
