Leviathan is a major antagonist of the anime movie Doraemon: Nobita's Great Adventure in the South Seas. It is a draconic creature created by Mr. Cash via genetically engineering to act as his bodyguard should anything go wrong. It is also considered by Cash to be his greatest creation and weapon.
History[]
Leviathan was genetically engineered by Mr. Cash from several genes. Being his most prized creation, it acts as his personal bodyguard should anything goes wrong.
Leviathan first appears when Mr. Cash orders it to destroy Captain Kid's ship and forces the latter to watch it. Angered, Kid tries to fight Cash, only to be subdued by Cash's men and he and the group are taken to jail. Later on, when the freed pirates led by Kid and Captain Colt fight Cash's men, Cash orders Leviathan to attack them. Just then, the dolphin Luffin directs the main group to use Cash's weapons to fight it. Suneo apparently kills Leviathan, only for it to turn out to be alive and well and destroy the weapons.
Just before Cash can orders Leviathan again, Nobita and Doraemon invade his office and knock him out, before deactivating his shield, allowing the island to be seen normally. Cash then attacks Doraemon and the two fall into Leviathan's mouth. Thanks to Doraemon's Dream Checking Machine pinching Leviathan's stomach (as a traditional way to check if one is dreaming), the monster feels pain and vomit them out. After Cash and Dr. Clone is arrested, the Time Patrol report that Leviathan has disappeared, but assure that it will just become a native and legendary creature of the sea.
