Lewis Vendredi is the main antagonist of Friday the 13th: The Series.
Personality[]
In life, Lewis was ruled by his fear of death and his desire for wealth. These two things are what drove him to make his deal. After making the deal, he was shown to be extremely manipulative, preying on people's weaknesses in order to spread some of the cursed antiques.
Biography[]
In his youth, Lewis was friends with Jack Marshack, who first introduced him to the world of the occult. While Jack never dabbled in the Black Arts, Lewis was drawn to it and began to seek out evil. Eventually he learned enough to invoke a deal with the Devil himself. He sold antiques that had been cursed and was granted immortality and great wealth in return. However, he eventually grew tired of being the Devil's pawn and tried to break the pact and the Devil took his life. Though Lewis was dead, the antiques remained cursed. In his will, he left his shop to his niece, Micki Foster, and her cousin, Ryan Dallion. Occasionally, Lewis' spirit would make play to return to the world of the living, once using a magic amulet on Halloween and again trying to sacrifice his niece, nephew, and Jack on the anniversary of his death. Both times he failed and was sent back to Hell.
Trivia[]
- Despite making only a few appearances in the series, one could say he is the main antagonist since he set the events of the series in motion.
