|“||We may have to use Lilina to bargain with the mercenary knights... If we use her as a hostage, they should surrender to us. But that must be a last resort. We will fight them ourselves with the help of Dragon Knights sent from Bern to crush Ilia's forces!! Devias, I want you to clear out the town and guard the castle gate. I will defend the inside of our castle.||„|
|“||Dogs of the Lycian Army... Come. I shall cut you down where you stand!||„|
Leygance is a minor antagonist in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. He was once Hector's royal advisor up until his betrayal and siding with the Bern Empire.
Leygance is a young man with a pronounced chin, a sharp nose, and yellow hair. He wears purple armor with yellow trim across it and a pink cape.
After Hector was murdered, Leygance, along with Devias, both decided to betray Lilina and side with Bern. Both of them were able to form a rebellion, with Leygance being the leader. As a rebellion, they were successful in taking over Castle Ostia and capturing Lilina.
Outside of Castle Ostia, Leygance was informed by Devias about Lilina's mercenaries not siding with them, despite they will pay them money. Due to this, Leygance came up with a plan to use Lilina was a bargaining chip to force them to surrender. After this, Leygance retreaed inside to Castle Ostia will ordering Devias to defend the city.
Inside the castle, Leygance was informed about Devias' defeat by the Lycian army. Knowing that the Lycian army will enter inside the castle, Leygance sent his troops around the castle and the throne room. He also ordered his soldiers to discreetly kill Lilina during the battle to make it seem like the Lycian army were the ones that kill her instead of them. Despite his best effort, Leygance along with his rebellion, was put to an end.
|“||You fool! I know that! General Narcian is going to arrive soon! If we don't have Ostia under our control by then, he'll laugh at us!||„|
|“||What?! The enemy has broken into the castle? What the hell was Devias doing out there?! Were those knights from Ilia so strong? ... Or was the Lycia Army larger than I expected... In any case, they have gotten into the 'unconquerable' Castle Ostia!||„|
|“||We must drive them out, or Bern will look down upon us... You over there!||„|
|“||I was planning on using her as a hostage. But there are still many rebels that put faith in her. If we openly use her as a hostage, those soldiers might turn against us.||„|
|“||So I said to do it discreetly, didn't I?! Kill her quietly, and pretend that she was hit by a stray arrow. Then we can make the enemy responsible for it! Now go!||„|
|“||Times are changing, milady. I won't be left in the dust. I'm not like Lord Hector. He was too foolish to accept the obvious.||„|
|“||Barthe... Shut your ugly mouth. Lord Hector was a fool. His death was his own doing. I do not intend to fall along with him.||„|
|“||How? You will only... be crushed by Bern... How can you fight with such conviction...?||„|
