Lhom Kwai, also known as the Dragon Eye, is a member of the Heavenly Guard, Khandanyang's elite group, and one of the secondary antagonists (alongside Re Thak) in The Pen and the Sword, a Sniper Assassin mission of HITMAN 2.

He is a captain and officer of the Heavenly Guard, the elite force of Khandanyang's dictator Sun Po, accompanying Colonel Jin Noo and Captain Re Thak to ship Khandanyang fugitives, Han Ldong and his wife Ma Ldong, back to their capital for execution, but all of them and their team were eliminated by Agent 47.

Biography[]

Born in a village of Tungan Valley, Khandanyang, Kwai's natural ability to get into places unseen served him well in his early years where he was forced by his family to break into storage facilities and warehouses owned by the Heavenly Leader in order to secure food for the village. Nearly entirely comfortable with his work, Lhom Kwai secretly desired to join the Heavenly Guard.

Under the influence of Sun Po's propaganda, and being convinced that his own family was traitorous, Kwai slipped out of his village and went into the capital to give his family in, with the so-called evidence that his family was a part of the rebels against Po family. Kwai was rewarded for his dedication to the Heavenly Leader and personally attended the public execution of his family.

Soon after, Lhom Kwai was enrolled in the army training program and graduated with honors four years later. In an action, Kwai, then an army sergeant, shielded Sun Po from an assault and assassination, which costed his right eye. Impressed by Kwai's loyalty, Crown Prince Tren Po rewarded Kwai with a prosthetic eye made of gold, thus earning the latter the alias of "Dragon Eye".

For years during his service in the Heavenly Guards, Kwai participated in the first Tungan Valley conquest over a decade ago, and now serves as an infiltration specialist. He also had ties to the Chinese Triads and accessed to a large network specializing in human trafficking.

Trivia[]

Personality-wise, alongside Roman Khabko, Lhom Kwai is arguably the most hateful and most evil Sniper Assassin target, because of his past of turning his family to the Khandanyang authority only to win Sun Po's approval, as well as his involvement with triad business and human trafficking.
