Li Mei is a minor antagonist in Mortal Kombat 1, and a villainous counterpart to the main version of Li Mei and is an unplayable character in MK1's chapter 14.
Like her counterpart, she is voiced by Kelly Hu.
Biography[]
While she resembles her New Era counterpart, this version of Li Mei was an inhabitant of Titan Shang Tsung's New Era, which means she subverted all of her redeeming qualities and joined forces with her evil master. Dark Li Mei would join the Order of Darkness against Liu Kang's New Era. She, along with the dark versions of Tanya, Reptile, Nitara, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Kitana and Mileena joined her master in his attack on Fire God Liu Kang's Hourglass, and attacked his allies to keep him occupied while his Hourglass is destroyed. Li Mei and Tanya battled the Titan Kung Lao, eventually managing to overwhelm him. They then confronted the Fire God and Titan Kitana, but Li Mei was defeated by them.
During the following Battle of Armageddon, various other evil versions of Li Mei were among the Order of Darkness, such as Firefly, Quan Li and Guard of Thunder. These serve as potential enemies for the playable Final Warrior, and are swiftly beaten by them.

The darker version of Li Mei wears a crown that looks like a sword, she wears purple clothes with purple spots and wears very long boots.
