| ~ Lily |
Lily is a supporting antagonist in Last Cloudia.
Appearance[]
Lily is a woman with pale skin brown eyes, and lilac hair tied into two braids in front of her face. She wears black pants, as well as a white lab coat and boots adorned with gold. Upon her transformation, she sprouted several white wings.
Personality[]
She displayed an eccentric personality and behavior and was immersed in her work, which made the need for sleeping and eating slip her mind. She hardly displays expressions other than her smile, and long interactions with other people left them with chills down their spines. Other times resulted in feelings of dread or fear. Coppola even likened it to talking to an inhumane creature. She also seemed to enjoy teasing fellow member Eliza by provoking her on purpose for her entertainment. It's unknown why she has this attitude towards her. When she betrayed Roland, she displayed a psychotic side to him.
Biography[]
Lily does not seem tied to anyone from either the Aldana Institute or the Council of Ten, having been chosen by Prince Roland to be a member of the latter. It was ambiguous on why she was able to join. Either Roland saw her as useful for her plans or vice versa. When she entered the Imperial Arcane Institute, she made proposals for new pieces of engineering, which exceeded the level of technology at the time. However, it was too much for other researchers to understand, thus Lily was the only one to use the equipment to pull potential.
That being said, the simpler pieces of magical technology had been accepted into use for the great advancement of many studies. Her vast understanding of these instruments and other accomplishments led to her being selected as top researcher of the Arcane institute. Around this period, Roland chose her to be part of the Council of Ten. Most members of the council, however, objected to her membership in it, a discourse that continued until Lily's predecessor, Coppola, spoke up at a meeting for the ten, stating she makes a better scholar than him. Other people from the institute voiced their praises for what Lily had contributed to them, managing to convince the most stubborn members of the group. Once her seat was official, she worked as an authority figure and a researcher of the empire, making appearances unexpectedly at anytime and anywhere.
There were some gossips about how she listened into even conversations about her that didn’t mention her name. She of course hardly appears within the capital as she was often sent out with varying tasks or staying within. In the Imperial organization, Lily was regarded as less a mage and more a researcher. She didn't participate in the casting of mana when magic needed to be tested, let alone for battles.
People thought she was inexperienced in combat, but one witness, who went with her for an on-site survey to a small city, actually disagreed with it. When said witness found out about a sealed beast a cult was trying to revive, the individual tried to get reinforcements from the empire, but was stopped by Lily, who said that they wouldn’t be needed as the creature could be a test subject in an experiment. She then used magic to restrain the cultists, who have been making the townsfolk sacrifices to the beast. Upon being released from the seal, the beast tried to attack Lily. However, she used her magic to restrain the beast and used a transfer gate to suck the creature in. After she finished, she declared in a singing voice "I'll prepare the report, thank you for keeping me safe down here. Now let's make our way back home!" She later sided with Roland supposedly to aid him in sealing the God of Ruin. When the heroes meet Roland at a castle, she aids him stealing the elemental arks they've collected over the journey.
Later on, after helping Roland create a clone of Theria named Alice, she reveals she never intended on helping seal Loug Zeus and sends for a group of soldiers to kill him. However, he manages to flee with Alice.
