Char Aznable has declared Lily (Simon Super Rabbit) is to be renamed to
Fake Super Rabbit
for the following reason(s): Now that I think about it, articles on this wiki on characters with villainous alter-egos are typically named after the alter-ego; Why should she be an exception? Plus, not using her real name is less spoiler-y for those who just happen to come across this article somewhere like a category or their personal recommendations.

Please discuss it on the talk page for this article.
"I told you I am not Casval, I am Char Aznable."

Oh, I'm sorry, Simon. … I wanted to be strong like Super Rabbit too.
~ Lily explaining her motive for the theft of Simon's superhero costume.

Lily, also known as Fake Super Rabbit, is a minor character in the preschool cartoon series Simon Super Rabbit. Although she is usually a neutral character and one of deuteragonist Gaspard's friends, she has a temporary villainous role in the episode "Super Rabbit's disappeared!", where she is the culprit behind the theft of Super Rabbit's costume.

Appearance[]

Normal[]

Lily is an anthropomorphic small white bunny child (of nursery school age) wearing a pink full-body sleeper and pink fuzzy earclips.

"Super Rabbit"[]

While wearing Super Rabbit's blue mask and cape, she also wears a blue full-body sleeper and earclips instead of her usual pink ones. Bizarrely, her sclerae also turn a dark blue color while she's wearing them.

Personality[]

Not much is known about Lily's overall personality since she is a minor character in the series, but in the episode "Super Rabbit's disappeared!", she displays envy towards Super Rabbit for his powers and steals his costume out of some kind of twisted sense of admiration towards the hero, thinking that wearing it would make her as strong as him, and even tries to run away with the stolen costume when Simon and his friends try to catch her, hinting that she has a somewhat power-hungry and amoral side. Despite this, she does have enough of a conscience to apologize to Simon once caught.

History[]

In the episode "Super Rabbit's disappeared!", Lily first appears at the park with Gaspard and two other friends watching Simon, as Super Rabbit, play soccer with Ferdinand and Lou, and remarks that the game doesn't look easy, which Gaspard affirms. They then witness Ferdinand complaining that Simon's Super Rabbit costume makes the game too easy for him. Unbeknownst to both Simon and his friends and to the other nursery school-age kids, this makes Lily envious of Simon, so she decides to steal his costume so she (in her mind) can be as strong as he is. She snatches it off a park bench after Simon leaves it there (with only her hand visible to the viewers), and wears it as she runs around and plays in the park. After Simon, Ferdinand, and Lou realize that Simon's costume is missing, they eventually spot Lily running around the park with it on, but don't recognize her because of the costume, with Simon being in denial of the sighting because he is Super Rabbit. After chasing her around the park for a while and losing sight of her more than once, Simon and his friends along with Gaspard eventually corner her at the playground train attraction (with the latter expressing surprise that his friend was the culprit), forcing her to return Simon's costume and reveal her motive for its theft and apologize when Simon angrily reprimands her: she wanted to be as strong as Super Rabbit. In response, Simon explains to her that he is the only Super Rabbit. In the short clip accompanying the episode's end credits, Simon, as Super Rabbit, is shown happily carrying Lily on his back as she declares that she is "Super Lily," showing that he ultimately holds no ill will towards Lily despite her theft of his costume.

Trivia[]

  • Lily being the culprit who stole Simon's Super Rabbit costume was foreshadowed in the episode.
    • While watching Super Rabbit playing soccer at the beginning of the episode, Lily remarks that the game doesn't look easy, and shortly after, witnesses Ferdinand complain that the game is too easy for Super Rabbit, hinting at her being motivated to steal the costume to make herself as strong as Super Rabbit.
    • When the culprit's hand is shown grabbing the Super Rabbit costume off the bench, the hand is clearly reaching up from below its seat's height, hinting at the culprit being one of the smaller kids.
    • When Gaspard is searching the sandbox for the Super Rabbit costume, all of his friends who were watching Super Rabbit, Ferdinand, and Lou's soccer game with him earlier are in it searching with him, except for Lily.
  • While Lily is wearing Super Rabbit's costume, Simon and his friends mistakenly refer to her as a "he," likely because the costume obscures her identity, and the real Super Rabbit is indeed a boy.
  • Lily's sclerae somehow turn dark blue while she's wearing Super Rabbit's costume, and her pink sleeper and earclips are replaced with blue ones. But when she hides in the train playground attraction, her sclerae, sleeper, and earclips revert to their normal colors for some reason, even though she's still wearing the costume at that point.
    • It is also unknown where her blue sleeper and earclips came from to begin with.
