Biography[]
Ling-Ling and Lung-Lung went to Japan some time after they presenced Shampoo's defeat against Ranma (in the female form) to help their sister to kill her since that are the laws of Joketsuzoku. While Shampoo tries to advice Ranma, Ling-Ling and Lung-Lung defeated Kuno and his kendo club and then went to the Tendo Dojo, where they recognized Genma as the panda that was accompanying Ranma the day of Shampoo's defeat. When they finaly found Ranma, Shampoo gave then the Kiss of Death, making them enemies. Shampoo confronts their sisters in the mountain and is defeated. When Ranma arrives she confronts the twins but Ling-Ling and Lung-Lung uses with him the Dance of the Great Fire Dragon, then Akane arrives and sees Ranma possessed by the attack, the two now are dancing posessed by the music and constantly attacked by a flamethrower. Then Akane covers Ranma's ears and defeats them. Shampoo saves Ling-Ling and Lung-Lung before the dragon explodes and makes peace with them again. Then Ling-Ling and Lung-Lung discovers that Ranma is in reality a boy and now they want to marry him following the laws of Joketsuzoku. Then, they return to China.
After returning to China for some time, Ling-Ling and Lung-Lung learn about Ranma's multiple fiancées and decide to return to Japan to eliminate them, ensuring that Shampoo becomes Ranma’s bride. However, their plans backfire as Ukyo and Kodachi easily stop them. They then target Akane, initially lying about defeating her to unnerve her before launching an actual attack. Akane fends them off with her satchel, and when Ranma arrives, he prevents them from chasing her further. The twins then ask Ranma whether he prefers Akane or Shampoo. When Ranma indirectly suggests he doesn’t like Akane, they assume he will willingly marry Shampoo. However, when he blushes and hesitates, they misinterpret it as Ranma liking someone else—namely, themselves. At that moment, Ryoga arrives, furious at Ranma for supposedly toying with Akane’s feelings, but the twins challenge him first. As Ryoga fights them, Ranma takes the chance to escape, while the twins use their "Great Dance of the Super Phoenix" technique, decisively defeating Ryoga. The twins quickly find Ranma again but ominously refuse to explain what they did to Ryoga. Later, they challenge Akane to a fight through a letter, stating that if she loses, she must give up on Ranma. To solidify the challenge, they give her the Kiss of Death, ensuring she participates. They wait at a temple for the fight, where Akane, despite not formally agreeing to the terms, engages in battle. Initially, they overwhelm her with their Phoenix Fire Dance attack, but Akane soon realizes it’s powered by a pedal-driven puppet and easily counters it. Ranma, watching from the sidelines, sees Akane gaining the upper hand. The twins, determined to win, launch exploding eggs at Akane, but she deflects them, eventually damaging the Phoenix puppet. Despite a quick rebuild, Akane’s counterattack causes them to crash. As a final resort, they use their Super Phoenix Fire Dance, which hilariously consists of them standing on a large board with a Phoenix image. However, the board collapses due to structural weakness, leaving them trapped under the wreckage. Ranma mocks their failed technique, but the twins insist they barely missed. After this battle, their fate remains unclear, though they likely return to China.
Later, they make a brief appearance at the Tendo Family Christmas Party, performing their Dance of the Great Fire Dragon as part of the festivities.
