~ Lisa to Bart about why she kidnapped the boys. |
Lisa Marie Simpson, also known as Penelope or Scottish Lisa in her multiple personalities, is the main antagonist of "Multiplisa-Ty", a segment from the Simpsons episode "Treehouse of Horror XXIX". Unlike her canon counterpart, she has a multi-personality disorder, being insane towards Bart, Nelson and Milhouse.
After a sleepover at Milhouse's house, she lured Bart, Milhouse, and Nelson using bottles of Sunny D and locked them inside a cell as punishment for Bart granting her an F by using her spelling test to change her answers and then mocking Miss Hoover. She decides to give them a second chance, but she locks them in their cell again after they disliked the performance, not even asking for an encore. At the end, she spares Bart after one last change and giving him one last chance to save himself from being killed by trash.
Appearance[]
Lisa looks the same as her main self for most of the episode but she does have minor changes depending on her personality:
- As Scottish Lisa, she wears a Scottish outfit.
- As Penelope, she wears a white hat.
Personality[]
In this segment, Lisa has a dissociative disorder, also appearing as a vengeful, sadistic and evil murderer who attempts to kill Bart's friends in order to get revenge on him for granting her an F during a spelling test.
Biography[]
Penelope is first seen when her older brother Bart and his friends Milhouse and Nelson are kidnapped after a sleepover at Millouse's house, having lured them by using bottles of Sunny D laced with ketamine. She frees them and gives them a second chance by watching her perform with her saxophone, but they are sent back to their cell after they disliked her music performance so much they didn't ask for an encore. She also covers her brother's disappearances with more weirdness, while the kids try to escape using Milhouse's head as an aries, just before Scottish Lisa appears and invites them to face the beast, putting the keys on a rack next to the door.
As she leaves, Bart, Nelson and Milhouse discover that she had killed Willie with an axe. Once they unlocked their cell door, they notice several toys stuck everywhere around, as well as wood replicas of themselves, burning. They climb up the nearby ladder to get out of the hallway, only to find out that they were locked under the Springfield Recylcing Plant. As they look around, they notice Lisa in front of them, approaching closer as she says it is time to recycle. Milhouse attempts to calm Lisa down, but she ignores his pleas and throws a broken bottle on him, knocking him into a pile of barrels, covering him in oil as she then tosses him inside a crusher. She then goes after Nelson, pulling a rope that drops a box of magnets, but only in front of him, causing him to laugh at her failure, only for a forklift to impale him from behind, killing him.
As he backs up, Bart asks Lisa why she behaved in such a strange and psychotic manner as she aims a slingshot right in front of his face. Lisa reveals that she wanted to get revenge on Bart for granting her an F during a spelling test, grabbing Lisa's spelling test, changing the answers and mocking Miss Hoover. Lisa then has one last change and gives Bart a last chance to save himself from being crushed to death by trash and redeem himself, which he accepts, while Milhouse was transformed into a "paper boy". She still manages to get away with her actions, justifying the whole experience as a stress reaction to Marge. However, Miss Hoover gives her an F in spite of having realized that the test was tampered with and never receives any punishment.
